Sadly yes.

a BB1 is good for 3 things:

- Killing off rushing ships (the bigger BBs are better off shooting at other big BBs instead of that annoying DD.
- Doing AA (killing a scout can really help the team and killing fighters is somewhat rewarding)
- Helping fend off rushers since they usually rush into your range.

If you have engineers and can do around 38+ knots learn the ninja style of play. Wait until there is a small hole that you can rush in on then rush in until you have a ship within your range (not on the very tip, but a little in) then start hitting. Make sure they cannot see you (make sure you no planes are over your head). Its hard to estimate the lower angles so if you can get close, you can do some serious damage. If you CAN NOT get to or over 38 knots, do not do this. You will die FAST if you try. Stick to support and picking off the rush dd, cl, and cas. Also be ready to shoot any subs that come in. A great trick I use is to guard the flag, staying really close to it. That will give it extra AAW to protect it and will have you providing gun supports for it.

- stay behind the front line, probably place yourself on the 3rd
- try to aa some planes it would you experts and credit + would help your team
- if you see an enemy at your range and busy on higher bbs or blind try to be a ninja and attack at max while rushing in and out, and if he notice you rush out of his range
- DON'T RUSH AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME JUST LIKE IN BLITZ
- always use L guns (for MN and SN they got no L guns) and LHe at A and AP for B
- shoot incoming dd/cl/ca/same level bb1s

I agree with Phantom.... stay around the middle of your Team line, try to take out the ships and SS's that may sneak thru. ALL of us have gone thru the BB1 grind so it just takes time and ALOT of game play to decide where you're really needed. Depending on what BB1 you have, you could also load up some HH's on your T slots and look for any Subs trying to torp a BB or CV... you have a role on the Team, you just need to find you balance that's good for you.
