  • Buff aiming FCS guidlines for lower level BBs?

Some time ago (after the merge) i started a IJN BB line however i stopped playing it because of the short guidelines that cause me to shoot nearly blind.
The logical solution?
BVE him?
I have a lvl 109 CV BO (also yellow) who has 200 vets (i always try to promote CV BOs because there is little penalty) and the guidelines with him BARELY reach the range of 14" L guns... and he's filled with rookies (so no skeleton BO skillrate degeneration here).
if this guys guidelines are a bit short  then i don't want to think how many vets/experts a AT level BO would need just to know where those blasted shells land.

Finder FCS?

As for now the only way to get past the annoying part where you have to shoot half blind is to AA yourself to lvl 90 and hope you get to at least 150 vets by the time you get there... 

The solution? Simply increase the length of those lines for all BBs 1-3 (at least for IJN since i have no idea about other nations)

CVs don't use the same FCS as BBs as I recall... I haven't touched my PCV for months.

This makes their guidelines different by default, even if you have 200 vets.

On BBs, I find that 100 vets and enough experts will spot your shells arround lvl50-60 (worked for UK, KM, MN and US that I have)... so I wouldn't say its a problem.
Start the battle, shoot north, mark the shells and go fight.

I find it more annoying when my guidelines are longer than needed, I don't have a problem when they are shorter as long as I can see the shells land.

How many experts = enough experts?

From what i know this problem starts with BB4s and their superior FCS.

I said i used my yellow CV BO (level 109) that has 200 vets on a Haruna (EBB2).
14" L shells landed a bit further than my guidelines (the splash and marker dots were still visible)
This was done with a overvetted BO who is almost 40 levels above this ship.

Read again, you never said that.

You said you started an IJN BB line (this suggests a new BO). And you said you had a CV BO. There is no mention of a Haruna in your thread.

You never said you used that CV BO on a BB either... you said his guidelines barely reach the range of the 14" L guns.
I took that as if you knew the range of those guns and used them as a reference for the distance.

I'm not sure, I have expert packs and I always keep low lvl BOs full of experts.

If I see the shells land, I don't really need the guidelines for low lvl ships.

From what I read:

You probably aren't using the good FCS.

I had no problem at level spotting Fuso's shells (same guns) with 109 vets +14 pot BO, and had started skiving some off before I got yammy.

I'd like :

A: SS of your FCS choice.

B: SS of your BO

Edit them in the OP, as image currently don't work in answering posts.

Thats one of the thing I want to check with the SS.

We'll see both growth and total ability. Going to be easy to see if it match.
