can i drive around in a flashy sport car even though I dont deserve the status symbol because I dont have a job because I dont have the time/effort or want to deal with workplace commitments and drama?

fleet tag serves more purpose than just a fancy decoration beside your name.

They are a way to identify quickly members of the fleet in battle, so you know who is in who's fleet, and in a way, they end up being the most graphical mean to represent a fleet, and what people describe a fleet with (who? You know that tag. Ah yeah)

A tagless player is a potential recruit for any fleet, weither by choice or not. While I understand you'd like some tag for yourself, its reserved to fleets, and if everyone had their tag, it would be kinda pointless imo.


If you don't want to be bothered, do as a friend and I did, and create a small private 2 people squadron :P

Fleet tags are just sprites....so you could edit the sprite to be whatever you wanted, but it would appear on all non fleet ships...and I believe it will update after the next run of NF. but I could be wrong on that last part.

Going back to the topic. I do like to have a TNF logo beside my name.

Sure Pirate flag or Ronin two Sword (Katana and Wakizashiof of Musashi) and participate to any HA with ventrilo.
I Recom to broke old rules,mercenary can come.

there is already a tag for non-fleet and lone wolf players ... and its free ...

but .. if you just want an ego tag .. do what some have done ..

form a sqd >> ask a few people to help you out >> make it into a fleet >> set your tag >> dismiss your helpers

... voila ... a lone wolf ego tag to call your own ..

Perhaps we could display country or state of origin ? I would like to see a micro-Texas flag next to my ship's name.
