Face it, NF UI is very confusing for new players, and it only frustrates them more when half the numbers they are trying to interpret don't even matter in the  context of the full game.

One thing I'd like to see is some kind of in game explanation of stats. Elite sailor's role is always no clear to people especially when you have descriptions like "increase restore rate" and so on.

There are far too many rumors on NF statistics that nobody even knows the answer to, the most notorious being; does Seaman work? How much does it work?

The mere fact that people can post descriptions that vary differently from each other on sailors is testimony to the misinformation that has perpetuated NF.

This whole stand back and let the players figure things out approach is really bad for a game that is so complex.

I know there are many things that players do know and stuff but make it more accessable. Players on the forums aren't the most keen on dishing out advice.

Explain what a restore sailor does; explain that AAW is a botched stat. Hell even make a newsletter or something on the front of the game that tries to explain these things.

Do something or NF will never attract a stable new fanbase.
