  • The Past, Present & Future

The Past:

Years ago I started playing.
The game had bugs.
Players abused the rules and got away with it because they were friends with TeamNF.
Some fleets & squads used their influence to have other fleet leaders or squad leaders banned for no reason.
All players got 120% exp when the room was filled, Premium users got more.
People took pride in their fleets.
Being accepted into TeamNF was an honor.

The Present:

The bugs are still there.
Players still abuse rules and get away with it.
Most oif the original players have quit playing.
Events take place and UNLESS you are a premium user, you are out of luck.
If the room is filled, non-premium users still only get 100% exp.
Big ship users team kill others and never get punished, but if a DD does it, they get warned and punished.
People bad mouth each others fleets & yet still don't really have pride in their own.
Being accepted into TeamNF is a curse.
The servers are dead most of the time now.
Only a few people play regularily.

The Future:

Who knows, but if the servers go like they are right now, I doubt there will be any future.

People, the problem is that we need to get more new players into the game, but with the way things are right now, we won't. When a BB kills a noob FF in a GB2 it makes the BB feel real proud, but the FF feels like s***. If a FF plays  a few games and gets owned before they can even shoot once, they get depressed and quit playing the game.

What needs to happen is we need to be fair to the new players. Let them actually get some shots in before you own them. We all hated it when a BB would sink us. We complained about it over and over. But now we are the ones who are doing it. We claim we are being righteous in doing so because it was done to us...

but in reality we are killing the game.

This is the only and first online warship game in the world, no other game can replace this one.
This is the only reason,
it's not like a racing car game, if you like one, you should like others too.
but if you don't like navyfield, anything else? no, so far.
at least, none of friend heard about this game until I told them, but everyone knows about the most common ones....

*Edited out game name - Ny*

in response to a couple of your points.

if premium users do not get an exp bonus during games or indeed are 'more lucky' during events then why would they spend money on the game. in simple terms , no premium players = no money to sde and no money to sde = no game.
in short premium users subsdise non premium users.

regarding the killing of smaller ships by bb's.
1.blitzkrieg rooms are for the lower level ships, perhaps stay there until your range is better.
2.if small ships get close enough to a bb they are acting as scouts, hence their termination.
3.small ships have a vital role as asw ,a bb will kill them to preserve his teams subs.(subs are good scouts)

Well, I would like to point out that back in the days you had silver accounts and only got gold when you need to do some serious grinding, ( silver is 75% exp and gold is 100%, premium had some credits and points etc. ) The effect is people sat on their ships a lot longer, giving them more experience in playing that ship, there was also more ship class dispersal, and incentives to get creative and use different kinds of ships to just play and enjoy the game, now all you get is people complaining about how slow a grind it is to get to the battleship tier of their choice, and when they get there ( too quickly if you ask me ) they don't know how to play ( a BB2 driver asked me how to lower planes - something you normally start exploring at the CL level when you first get a scout slot )

Some of your points are true, but it was and still is an honor to serve with the Red Ts and they do what they can with what they got.

oh and glad to see yeh on here jimmy

i would like to speak personally ... I have been a part of Team Navy Field since October 9th, 2009

being accepted into Team Navy Field as a Monitor was a great day for me.
Making it through training and becoming a Moderator has given me Great Pride.

being promoted to Veteran Moderator was a Great Honor for me.

I have always been proud of my service to this game, its founders SDE corporation
and most important to me, ..--== the player base ==--..
I find a deep sense of pride helping players everyday.

so.. Thank You All.

Just dropping in to say this: I played that last several events on my storage accounts that don't have
premium and I by far, got more drops than anyone in my fleet. Actually I'm likely hated for it. 3 Ebbs during
that event, a streak where I got 10 items in 12 games during the rotating bonus rooms, and during this
last event ~ 23 different item drops all on free.
Would I be upset if premium players had a better chance? NO because they pay for the game. Do they in
fact have a better chance? Doesn't seem like it if my 1200 smokes, 7000 PHH, 5000 Mines, and more
elites than I know what to do with are any indication.
On top of that, with the generous attendance for free olives program, there is a fair chance for everyone to
put together a decent crew even if it takes a little longer.

Being a premium player is the way for supporting the game and also show appreciation to the company . by far in the market NF probably the best online naval game .

I am sure TNF is trying there best to try to make the game better for you guys, so normal player and prem player is only player after all, you guys play in the server together to have fun :)
