so DD has the ability to spot SS. 

will there be any diferences if i use sonarman in the DD? 

lv 80 sonarman BVE

Higher abilities have longer spotting distances.

No s.onar = base distance
Any s.onar = slight increase
High level s.onar = 30% more than that

And don't forget, a ship on overheat cannot use sonar, plus there's a cooldown period after it slows down.
AND don't forget, a ship moving faster than 30 knots (overheat or not) cannot use sonar.

Sonar works over 30 knots...


Just did it.


Only turns off during OH and cool down time.

Thats becauser after 26 knots, your CV is Overheating.


If you want to test the 30 knot post by storm, take out a frigate and scout subs around 37 knots. Works over 30.

To Know where your getting this from,last i checked on my PHH ECL,my sonarman works past 30 knots...
