Ok, I am a NOOB!

What the hell is with this "You have been retreated because you do not have control of your ship."

Dummy me! And here I thought I had COMPLETE CONTROL OVER MY SHIP!!!!

I haven't read everything or I have overlooked any reference to this very annoying kick I get
when playing in one of the Great Battle Rooms.

What is the point in playing if you are going to be kicked?

If you just press F and sail off in 1 direction not making course corrections or using your guns to shot AA or at the enemy for a prolonged amount of time the game will retreat you thinking your afk or leeching.

Leeching is roaming around the room not actively pursuing the enemy.

This happens when you are not moving your ship for a certain period of time, it is in place to prevent the obvious leecher, but it catches other people sometimes.

It happens most frequently with CVs since they tend to stay in one place and not move, but it can also happen with BBs if they are moving in a straight line for a while.

just a small correction to above answers, its for key input only so you have too shoot, speed up or down to stop this happening, just changing course as its a mouse input will(or at least used too) get you retreated.

More accurately, is that you haven't done anything toward the battle. It can be moving ship, controlling planes, shooting, moving the guns etc.

Note if your ship is MOVING but you aren't doing anything else, it will also happens. Best way to image it is if you have your hands off the keyboard, you get retreated.

If you clicked to change course, its not going to retreat you, but if you only move around the map with your mouse, you will.

You do realize in the top left corner of your screen, there is text counting down for 15 seconds backing a beeping sound the entire time before it kicks you... Plenty of warning to move.
