  • Best way to level sailors?

I have a UK BB crew in the mid 60's and a US CV crew around the same level.

but I am finding myself with extra slots, so im filling them up with the proper crew, pilots rep men engys that wort of thing.

but they level SO SLOW on my BB and CV, but my BOs are too high a level to go back down into blitz games, with smaller ships.

so what is the best way to level crew? I have a few other smaller crews...an SN crew around level 30, and another US crew around level 40.

In GBs you level faster than in blitzs.
With premium you lvl faster than without premium ^^

Until lvl 35-40 or so you can use AA CLs.
From 40 to 55 use CAs/PCAs, AA CAs like ijns or PS KM line ones are very good for that.
From lvl 55 or so you can start to use BBs, PBB is the best choice, it has many slots.

Thats what i use to do when i lvl new crews.

got a rel gunners either us or uk?

if you got a us rel gunner, get a pensacola and mount 3" (sorry don't know what type of 3" :D) on t slot and go aa on gb

if uk, get an emerald mount 5.25"D (GA = 36), well they're slow but they pack a hard punch, try to snipe planes not spam like the KM ones. or if you have aa gunners mount pompoms

Well really it has a total of 10 slots (5 support, 2 r gunners, 2 t gunners, and 1 BO) And remember that on the Premium ships can use any sailor as the BO, as long as its the same nation and level as the Premium ship.

I use one aa gunner as bo and the other one mans the batteries, therefore 8 slots to level other nations crew.

What I see here is improper grinding. You should rotate sailors while grinding to keep them all near the same level.

The problem here, is you let some sailors fall behind, and now there are too far behind to get proper EXP.


Only solution is to take a step back, and grind the lower level sailors on a lower level ship til they catch up with the rest of the crew.

I always forget you can use a regular sailor in place of the BO.
