I have not posted for a long time in this forum so please excuse me if this has been brought up before but I cannot find it when searching.   Why is it that a depth charge can be used against surface ships?   I always thought DC were set to explode at a certain depth? 

Depth charges should explode underwater right?

Right... suggestion for DC to explode underwater only. DC should not be able to be used to throw at other ships above surface, tweek the unit please so it only explodes underwater.

That is about what is happening, I have seen ships throwing DCs at CVs and BBs and other ships and the DCs do a good job.
