  • Longer arming distance for SN torps

there should be a longer arming distance (safety range) for SN torps. I find that these torps in perticular, arm must faster than other nation's torps. Especially given the speed at which they travel at close range from the source ship to their target. this would put them more on balance with other nations but still give them their high speed of travel in the water once launched.

their short arm distance isn't a bug, it's supposed to be one of their perks. They have very short range over all, it's designed to be in their playstyle to arm fast and run fast. I don't see anything wrong with this. I've used them myself and had them used against me and I see no balance issues with them at all.

its the sn perk on torps just like the proxy is on km and the smal torpedowake is on ijn

I just find it ultra cheap to have it at that short of a range, at that speed. it's almost the same as somebody coming right up and popping you point blank with HH. I'm merely saying that a slightly longer "safety" margin before they go live beyond the half inch, or so, of screen it takes now for them to arm.

it is cheap, but the fact the torps have short arm distance in no way prevents you spotting the ship when it's coming in, reading his intentions, and turning away. It's easily countered if you are paying the slightest bit of attention. also it's fun when you do it to other people XD if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

Its not cheap at all. Pay attention and you wont have the problem. Also its slightly proportional to their torp range; they have shorter range on their torps so the arming range is shorter too.
