All players are selfish, that's true. But you usually ALWAYS can score at least 1k attack! Is your spread so wide you would miss an europa at point blank?

Usually rushing dd/ff/cl are so small that they are still alive when they come into BB1 range. Do you use Light HE shells?

What nation are you lvling? Because you could AA too!

But anyway, yeah BB1 stage is hard ...

The BB56s that you call selfish didn't level that high by letting BB123s get all the kills.

That being said, the good BB56s are few and far between. With a little ingenuity, some AA, and paying attention...you can find a time to attack or counter-rush and provide some important backup for a BB56 that is getting rushed by, say, two BB45s. Sure, you'll probably die, but you might distract them just enough to let the BB6 OH away and rep.

All that being said, come on. You're in a BB1. You're playing in a game mode against ships that are 40-60 levels above you. I think you might be expecting a bit much. The BB1s are all awful to play with at-level. And, the BB2s aren't much better. You sit and suffer in the grind while working on strategy and AA since that is the only thing that could possibly help you. You used to have to suffer in that grind getting hundreds of EXP instead of the thousands you are getting. Try spending a few months in a BB1 instead of the week or two that you'll actually be in it, then let me know how much it sucks.

I usually sit and park if there is just piddly ships left, but I don't fault people for fighting to get all the attack possible. It's a kill or be killed world out there, man.

Just think, you could play in BB1 games and go up against comparable ships and get tons of attack and exp!

i don't expect to be able to take on a bb5-6 myself but i don't expect my own teams bb5-6 to kill thigns that aren't a theat to them.

and i don't think bb1 have a place in GB at all.

also i'm using mark 2 15" l with light rounds.

I suggest putting a scout on your BB1

Wait until an enemy ship is engaged, and rush with them. Protect your teams BB4/5/6 from counter rushers. If they are rushing your teammates, counterrush.

Put some AA on if you want to.

And scout for your team.

Yep, I was the one that suggested that first option. Thats what I did with my BB1's. Ive gone through all 4 main nations like that. Yes its a hard grind, but these grinds are meant to be as such to get you to learn how to play a BB. This is different from Blitz where your the big guy able to pound on all the little guys around you. Now you have bigger guys waiting to hurt you. What you should do is learn to play defensively right now. Watch the other BB's tactics, follow them, stay behind them. You will get your fair share of smaller kills, you have DD/CL/CA/SS that get in close you can hit. Or like gtdawg said, learn when to counter rush. Push in, become that target if need be. It's part of being a team player. BB1's don't win the battle most of the time, but they can sway the tide of it, if they play right. You will find this is going to be your hardest grind as a BB player. If you can't hack the BB1 grind.... well, I don't know what to say TBH. Good luck.

look i'm doing all that stuff! the problem is the bigger BB just kill everything before i even get close to dd/cl etc
i'm not saying i'm trying to win the game. i don't even mind dying.

my problem is that there is just bb5-6 killing everything even stuff that they don't need to.

you say be a team player? how about the bb5-6 be a team player and give others a chance? especialy when we're wining and you don't really need the extra attack from killing the DD.

Your thinking about the selfish BB6 in the wrong manner, you should be thinking to yourself "ahhh foood"

Charge that BB6 hit it once and laugh a lot if he misses and gives you another chance to hit him. It's not easy for a BB6 to constantly hit a fast moving turning small target. If anything it gives you dodging shells practice and maybe a little hit or two will give you decent exp.

There's always select mode rooms or another game!!
