I would like to see some training missions for CV drivers.  Not for XP (rarely get much in training), but to practice controlling planes without  being in the whole big GB/GB2/ whatever scene.

I have a reasonable level CV BO, but I have yet to find a missions where planes are effective as an offensive tool, can be played SOLO, and do not limit entry to a very minimal level.

Would it REALLY be that hard to port "Sink the BBs" to allow TB/DB practice?  What about porting the AA mission to allow FP training?

Sooner or later, go up agains an AI CV.

Anyone care to comment?

Vdub brought me into the BB test mission and I learned there. The annoying BBs with pea shooters kept coming at me, so I had to move the ship a bit, but that was good practice too, moving the ship and controlling the planes at the same time. They move slow, so you should be able to practice your skills on them. Try it, it works.

People have been saying, there should be a customizable test mission, e.g. number, type, mobility, aggression of dummy ships.

Rec,

Training is critical to skill, why not be able to do it on your own time. I promote this idea, as long as it does not become a requirement of CV use. That stuff was being pushed years back.
