I want to play with my friend (hes a cv im a BB) but inevitably, we often end up on opposite teams. This
is not the first time people have mentioned this. heres some of the barriers. Lets face it, they're immense.

1. the auto split stands in the way
 - if you remove auto spllit you introduce a host of other probs.

2. stacking
 - when good players who are friends group up it becomes a buffet.

Other games have rooms open that never end, but they dont have the diversity that NF has, for example
battlefield. The game is balanced b/c all the spawns are relatively equal. Not so in a role playing game.

What if we had room kind of like op convoy, but that didnt END and RESTART after 20 mins, you just change
map with the same players base that were in the room. and new ppl could join whenever, as a RESPAWN
never end. so Play would be continuous, with EXP added up after each map. Oh, and dont forget, you can
choose alpha or bravo so long as you dont +2 the other team (alpha = 5 BB bravo = 6 max until the
next BB joins he MUST join alpha) This is not a new idea, MANY other games employ this.

I believe this would increase the amount of time and ability to play with your friends online.
(it would not however, help big clans and such but we have HA and normal rooms for that)

no offense, is their a so called team play in GB? to me only a few especially on fleet mates that is stack together but to the rest... there is no chance...

cv giving lyt but BB don't attack,
one rushes but the rest held back (always happen to me, enemy is 100% scouted rofl),
BBs don't support each other (in other word no line fighting in GB can be seen, or only few),
some CV don't care if their BB being bombed to death (1 scene happen to me, cv nearby to my ship; bombers incoming; cv launch fp; fp just passes the bombers rofl; bombers bombed to death)

no offense taken,

but i think i failed to make clear what i meant. not TEAM WORK, but playing with people you know. as in real life
friends or fleet mates,

it has long been known that one of the problems with NF is not being able to play with your teammates/firneds in a public room, this is what i was addressing* not overall team work in GBs.

I think it is only fair that the teams are random. I too like playing with friends but it is equally as fun to be able to play against them from time to time. its pretty much alright as long as we're in the same room.

There has been a suggestion before to allow a buddy system for new players who are just starting and do not have the benefits of a fleet or team chat, to allow the game to try to put them on the same team if balance allows. Perhaps under level 30 in blitz or non capital ships for GB? Is this kinda what you're suggesting?

Ya kind of, but its more the game format or MODE that i'm suggesting would allow you to play on teams with your friends. Im suggesting an entirely new game mode. instead of joining rooms and waiting to play,
i think a room that is always in play would be interesting (of coarse precautions against cheating would need to be taken)

For example: Say 2 BBs want to play together , they join a room that is already in play! (like i suggested in first post) they both pick Bravo team. but the room is 7v8 BBs alpha vs. bravo. so they wait for more ppl to join before they pick a side (they simply wait in limbo) when more ppl join alpha the server will then allow them to make their way to bravo

Like i said before it wouldnt really help a clan, because they would have to wait maybe hours before they could all wind up on the same team, and im sure it could be engineered so that mass team stacking would yield not much EXP.

Im suggesting a new approach to how we join, wait and play battles. (i dont even know if its possible in NF) but other games have utilized this.

Random teams is one of the reasons the game is dying. In a certain other MMO, you can lobby up in a small group and join a game together and be on the same team, with a slight (like 5%) exp penalty (you basically miss out on some of the bonus for not joining a random room.

So what if people play together as a team or are skilled. If the ships are balanced between either side, there should be no issue. If its a "buffet", then people need to group up themselves and get better. The autosplitter should balance the numbers of these groups between each team, ranking each group according to say, their average win percentage.

/agree

Great! lets do it! group join, excellent! i have not thought of it from this angle...

however, that does pose problems of how many will join at one time and which groups add up to what.

my room idea would avoid this. the dedicated game rooms that always are in play is the point :/

/kill room wait
/kill auto split

Zaff if you mean BF3 so its there stacks since many leaves the losing team for they are either noobs or cant just work together with others (called cod players).
To have this in NF again while possible a stack of "good" players on the other team and "bad" players on the other, that while lead to a more boring game since you are gonna lose, lose and lose over again.

Or you will inevitably learn to use the "Squad" System and become a four man army and pwn everyone. Sorry, extended the certain game analogy a little too far (You can't talk about other games here :c).

Aaaaah, can't remember the good ol' times when I ended up with some average-good players in certain game and just won everything because we comunicated with each other.

[Warning: Rant Begins]

I think that is the real issue, communication (More like lack of it) Between players, I just don't understand why people in this game is so closed to just playing... I have entered a room and publicily said "Hey guys! how are you today?" with no response whatsoever unless a fleetmate or a Mod are there.

Talking to eachother would take away the sensation that you are just playing with an AI, this is not the case, we are people and we can, even in the middle of a battle, create some really basic tactics that could prove decisive to winning or loosing a game (I.E: Entire north or south rushing when the other team is blind and also lit).

So far, some people and myself have been able to pull this off. I really enjoy playing, but I enjoy pwning the other team even better. This is why I pop up smoke on an allied BB when He/she needs it and I can pop it up, this is why I try to tell you when the enemy is rushing and when we, as a team, can rush and just obliterate the other 4 BBs that are north.

TL;DR: Pay atention to the guys around you and try to talk with them so that you can help eachother.. I understand that some players don't speak english, but I don't think that they are a majority in NFNA.

Then make a suggestion on a voicecom into the game so you can talk direct over a mic?
