I'm currently experiencing either lag or low fps. Not sure which it is. The issue occurs while in battle. My game skips in 5 to 8 second intervals. For example, I might shoot a volley into the air and then suddenly everything feezes for one second and everything that happens between me shooting and my shells landing on their target is completely skipped. It's quite frustrating and it makes me want to stop playing until it's fixed. I'm not sure why I'm experiencing this as my connection is decent enough and my computer is certainly more than capable of handling NF. Before I made this thread, I searched around  to see if anyone else is having my issue too and I found the below thread. I think our issues are similar. I did everything that was suggested in that thread but it has not fixed my problem.

Any helpful advice/input would be appreciated. :)

What compatibility settings do you have in place right now?

None right now. Should I try Windows XP SPack 2 mode?

No first off I would try

Disable visual theme
Disable desktop compression

Then if all fails you can try the above

Thanks for the reply.

I tried disabling both (visual theme, desktop composition) and that didn't help so I went ahead and tried running it under XP SP2 and that also did not help either. I just can't imagine what is causing the game to constantly skip like that. Any other things we can try?

I suppose the culprit could be lag but I've played Navyfield on other computers from this same connection without ANY lag what-so-ever. Additionally, I do not lag in any of the other online games I play.

If it is lag that is causing this horrible skipping while in battle, are there any steps I can take to reduce it on my end?

Well you can try running a pathping to see if there is a connection issue, see the sticky at the top for info

Navyfield FPS force and cap the frame rate at 25.

Lag spike is due to internet providers that throttle the connection or just unstable network system of the company. I had this issue for years.

Trace complete.

How does it look?

Overall trace does not look bad, response time in "ms" looks fine and only a very small
amount of Packet loss, but there is a train of it along the path.
I would not expect to see that much Lag or skipping with the results you are showing.

If you bring up the task manager while in game how many processes are running?

I was told to install NF into PROGRAMS 64. It works and fixes crashes and some lag.

I also run GAME-BOOSTER which ends services and programs when you turn it on and when u turn it off it restores them.

While I'm in game it shows:

- Processes: 48
- CPU Usage: 4 - 5%
- Physical Memory: 44%

Originally the game was installed into the Programs x64 folder and I was having the same skipping problem then. I only clean installed it to Programs x86 after I read somewhere that that was the correct folder to install NF to when you are using a x64 bit operating system. Did I hear wrong?

Btw, thank you guys for the tips. I appreciate everyone's advice and help regardless of whether or not my issue gets fixed. At the very minimum I'll have narrowed down the list of possibilities.
