For future reference it's reference and it's, not 'refrence' and 'its'. Oh and you should capitalise 'for' as it is the start of the sentence. But I guess you knew this as you used spell check. Or perhaps it doesn't matter.

But there is nothing wrong with starting a sentence with 'But'.
Pretty sure it would be part of a comparative subordinate clause. Such as; "Oh and you should
capitalize 'for' as it is the start of the sentence, but I guess you knew this as you
have used spell check."
Since the sentence, "But I guess you knew this as you used spell check." does not define what 'this' is in the context of the sentence.
