  • HS Making things difficult

DeadEye1989
short story is hs is unable to update and i have done all i can to remedy it. support kinda just blew me off so i hope
i can get some help here. i have tried fresh client full install following steps of full uninstall. fresh install with firewall
and anti virus disabled. the manual update autoup.exe says its fully updated and i can run nf after about 10 minutes
of hs trying to update. it gives me the standard update failure code 300090 and then starts nf. if nf didnt crash so
often i wouldnt mind doing it once but it gets rather annoying

ok so HS is failing to fully update.

in the hs folder there is a subfolder called udate and a file called autoup and you ran that but did you run the
one in the main folder called HSUpdate??

also after you have run both run the file AhnRpt and copy and paste the main screen here.

As I said in my post autoup.exe is claiming fully updated, yet the splash screens till fails to show any progress beyond 2 bars. And I'll post said report when I get back home, been at work all day and won't get home until about 9.

Alright, autoup.exe is still saying fully updated. And even when I run autoup then right after run nf it still refuses to 'update'. Forgot the code for posting pic's on here, was hoping it changed, but that's the direct link to it

hello,
as for me, the game crahes after i start a battle with a ship just taken out of HQ...the bad thing is i cannot re-start the game without re-booting the computer.

@Mr. Moderator,
you will probably have realised by now that dozens of players if not more report the same family of problems.
even if you stubbornly defend the fails of HS, you can possibly understand that it is against all odds that so many individual computers have gone wild, and therefore it is absurd to tell people to tweak settings

may i suggest you report the problem to NF (or HS for that matter) and ask THEM to elaborate a fix, and distribute it to the whole community with the next patch

or at least, spare us your tech BS
cheers

DrZawaz
Generally speaking, Hackshield is developed by a different company entirely (http://www.hackshields.com/product.html) and I doubt if HS had some kind of problem that TNF could fix it. But I don't know for sure.

With that being said, what kind of anti-virius or anti-malware or firewall program are you two running?

Deadeye,

Just a wild Idea but can you try a windows update and see if a .net update is available and if so
after its done and a reboot try the game

jokojoko,
I would be glad to help you if you want but I would need more information about your issues and your setup.

As to HS it is apart of the game and we can work with it or not our choice, I am not defending it at all, I am just trying to help individual players with issues.

I wish it was as simple as having HS or SDE patch the game and Poof all the issues go away, but sir
that is a fantasy. Each of us has a unique setup and a wide range of equipment and software.
There is no generic fix as there is no generic issue and many of the issues are outside the Game or HS itself.
