  • MN vs SN vs RM; Cost-Benefit Trade-offs?

Could someone perhaps tabulate the advantages/disvantages of the new nations, relative to one another?  I've gotten somewhat far in the SN-line on another account, although my main reason for choosing the SN-line was the mistaken assumption that they're SS torpedoes would behave in a manner similar to their ship torpedoes (i.e., super-fast with a very short arming-distance).  I was rather disappointed, thus, when I discovered that their submarine torpedoes behaved in a manner more or less like those of any other nation.

I am thinking of starting a new battleship line and want to look to the MN or RM for variety's sake, although am not sure of which would fit my playstyle.  Generally, I prefer fighting at relatively short range (my use of manual at long-distances is still rather lacking) with faster/more agile ships (my first experience of playing a BB, the IJN's Kongo, seemed extremely tedious after being able to really 'move' around the battlefield in Mogami).  Does either the MN or RM, therefore, better suit a more cruiser-oriented/hit-and-run play style?  I could just as easily derive an SN BB crew, already having level 65+ gunners and supports, although SN battleships are not the most mobile from what I am told.  Thoughts?

RM and RN are made for rushing, In different ways. RM has the tiny ship profile and lazer beam shells (low hangtime low angle punch through armor.)

SN has certain good ships (bb3 or 4 i think was OP) the higher tiered ships are slower at level though with 45 degree guns they are more of a kiting/run style. Similar to yamato.

MN is the foward rusher all in type. Blocking quad gunners (nearly) amazing BB5 and 6 with usable AA. If I had to start another line after I finish my UP41 (after I get MN or US SCV) I'll probably go with MN.

I can't say alot about SN as I have never done the grind (wasnt aroudn when they were first introduced) but the charle in blitz is a monster. MN BB's are so small people that cant aim cant hit them. SN has huge boats that seem to throw half pillows half shells.

I hope you're not implying that SN has light damage. It's damage is the only saving grace. SN is a line of luggy brutes (though the IM and BB4 aren't bad. BB5 is awful.) and I don't recomment it to, well, anyone.

RM BBs are so much smaller than any other nation it's bananas-insane. MN also have smaller ships than average but are still reasonable in size. Really good agile rushing ships with short range and high offense.

It sounds like you'd like MN the most.

I'd suggest trying them out even if just the BB4s/5s first. A new crew is a long grind and a lot of resources before you can see how the majority of it's playstyle is for yourself.

IMO the BB6s. SN > RM > MN

But MN suits your playstyle. US also fits your playstyle too and it is better than all the new nations.

IMO BB6s.  US=KM > UK > SN=IJN > RM > MN
