BB5 Fleet War

-10 points of punishments by any single player may result in a disqualification/disconnection or removal from the fleet event for that one player and a rematch. Minus 10 points worth of punishments (in total) by different players will result in a disqualification of the team.

Repeated offences by the same player can result in forced retreating, match restart or even team disqualification in severe situations, at the discretion of the Fleet League Council. Any attempt to "game" these rules and this system will be dealt with harshly.

Ruleset:-
The General Rules will also be applied:-

Bracket:-
The Bracket was generated on Challonge.com. Seeds were placed in order of their sign up, and then shuffled X times, with X being the random number Galle picked (I randomise who chooses this number; For the DD/CL/CA, it was flamingpanda). Galle picked two, so it was shuffled twice. Then the top 4 from the previous fleet war were moved to the top. Here are the screenshots:-

Signups Close:
10th July 23:59pm EST

Max Teams Per Fleet:-
2 - If two teams are entered from one fleet. Players that are not listed in either team can play, but as soon as they play one game, they are tied to that team.

Rosters are to be submitted by the 15th July at 23:59pm EST; Please make a post in the rosters thread here:-

http://www.opennavyfield.com/smf/index.php?topic=298

With regards to IP checks; I have a very simple solution to make the IP checks very quick and easy, and will be discussed with TNF.

If I have one team that abuses this, both teams will be disqualified, and that team will be unable to submit 2 teams in any future events.

Map:-
No Way Out 1

Ship Limits:-

10 Ships per team
BB5 only

Ships not of the following nature will not be allowed to start, and will be banned once the room is closed:
BB5 Only

The following ships classes are limited:
Max 3 ships of one nation

Ships breaching this rule after the room closure will be banned from the room with no substitution allowed.

Usage of the following will result in punishment during the match:
No T5 scouts (1 point penalty for the first offence, 5 point penalty for further offence or non return for each minute out).
No Smoke (5 point penalty per usage)
No Mines (5 Point Punishment per usage)

Repeated offences by the same player can result in forced retreating, match restart or even team disqualification in severe situations, at the discretion of the Fleet League Council.

It is up to the fleet leaders to analyse the opponents setup for rule breakages in the Ready room. Referee’s will be checking, however fleet leaders are expected to check also. A whole teams eyes makes everyone's lives alot easier.

Players are also encouraged to report rule breakages in Team chat to the referee's. Screenshot's or Video recordings will be taken.

Time Limit:

20 minutes plus extra time.

Points System and Victory Conditions:-

1) Wiping out the enemy fleet

2) Upon the event of a time limit constraint, a points system will be put in place:

The points system works out; When you sink a ship, you gain points. If a ship is TK'ed/Disconnects or Burns to death, the enemy team gains a point.

Each ship is worth 1 point

Each fleet starts with 0 points. If a fleet receives a penalty, they can go into negative points.

Extra Time:-

If a fleet is not 2 or more points ahead of the opposition at the end of 20 minutes, extra time will occur of 5 minutes. After extra time, the winner is the fleet with the most points remaining. The maximum time a match will last will be 25 minutes. If the points are equal at the end of the 25 minutes; First team to sink a ship wins.

By signing up, you confirm that you have read the rules. If you don't completely understand the rules, or would like to check if something is legal, it is your responsibility to check with the Fleet League Council.

All matches are to be recorded, and by participating, you confirm that you have your permission for these recordings to be posted after the event.

Further changes may be made, a post will be made with an updated rule. It is your job to monitor this thread.

If you spot an error with the rules, it is your job to report it. Failure to do so and exploiting an error can result in a punishment at the discretion of the Fleet League Council.

If someone wins without a full team is that more per player?

I would have to have that confirmed, but I don't see why not.

Also, these prizes may change as they were originally for the 25 man Flagship fleet war.

Bump, would like to again call for fleets to sign up for this.

The rules are simple, there are prizes and the 10 player per fleet should encourage fleets that have problems with attendance. (not to mention we haven't had fleet events in AGES).

Yes, if TTF can field a team (we actually might be able to) then I dont see why other fleets cant even if they share our issues with timezones.

Feel free to suggest rule changes on the ONF Forums, or ask your fleet leader to do so.

For me it is simple, 10 BB6, 3 maximum per nation, T5 Scouts are not allowed, smoke not allowed, mines not allowed. In my opinion, all other standards, including general rules, I think they are only to create problems. I replaced with the common sense and fair play. It's just my opinion and do not want to discuss this.

At the meeting of fleet leaders in the ONF Ventrilo few weeks ago, I thought I noticed a more open attitude on the part of all. I am willing to give a vote of confidence and play as long as my fleet chooses to do so and put together a team.

I just hope the games are decided by playing, and not the 35 general rules used to decide otherwise. I hope fair play in the fleets and common sense in the referees, that referees do not create problems where none exist, and that a second or a minute before starting do not decide a game over the agreement of both fleets.

Anyway, I just play and give my vote of confidence in the organizers and referees, I hope they do best and that everything goes well.

We'll see ...

As I have said, if you have an issue with a rule, ask your fleet leaders to post on NF.com. They have the opportunity to post on the publicly viewable ONF Fleet War Planning section.

I have literally just got decent internet at my current house that I have just moved into; Yet I have still checked the forums and i've had no posts about specific rules recently.

The majority of the rules are to cover our own asses incase someone tries to exploit them.

Can a FM please clean this up. I'm fed up of people trying to cause problems and drama.
