if we are just looking at the basics. Sodak Line = Speed / NorCar Line = Firepower

Alaska can speed cap at lvl, being able to go back and play guam with sodak lvl crew is super fun (54 kt front gunz rush)

Alaska, Guam, Colo, and Sodak can hold good AA, while the other line cant until NC

Sodak is fast but has spread issues

NC outranges SD by a bit but is slow and has a glass jaw

SD has 40 deg guns: good for rushing, NC has 45 deg guns: good for running

Pennsylvania remod has nice speed off the bat where the other BB2s need work.

Point 1 certain ships on that line can AA

Point 2 correct

Point 3 correct and wrong at the sametime, they fixed the glass jaw.

point 4 correct to an extent. The NC is good for holding a line meanwhile the sodak is the rushing in and out ship.

Point 5 is partially correct, the colorado and tenny are meant to be slower there battleline ships not rush in and take everything out there meant to hurt anything that comes in range thus why they have the dual 16's and trip 16 D's. The NM is pretty fast but does need work, the remod for it fixes most issues.

NC shares same spread issues as the SoDak.

NC used to be a lesser sodak, but now got its very own playstyle.

The firepower of that thing is quite impressive, but it got pre-bb34aa patch sodak spread at level. Sodak gkt a slight buff to make it more workable.

Over all the BB12 are the same with the exception that on NC line you get a pre remod BB1 no matter if you want the 16" mk2 BB2 or the 14" mk7 one.

However, the alaska line 16" mk2 user, colo, while maybe a bit more painful to grind is a bit superior, mainly in its better use of the 3x16" mk3 Ds setup. Also gain a bind over tenn45 and is a bit slimmer I find.

On the NC line, the penn43 is a beast. 2nd USN ship to speedcap, its fast, small and pack a nice enough punch. Awesome rush ship.

NM is in my mind a bit too fat to pull it as well.
