  • Crashing immediately after clicking Play Game!

It's a generic "Navyfield has encountered an error" pop up.

The weird thing is, after it pops up, right after clicking Play Game!, the loading screens appear anyway. It never finishes loading but the screens and animated  "NF, loading....." icon appear. I have to alt-tab and close the error pop up, which also closes the loading screens.

The 2nd attempt never gives the error pop up, but then there's problems with it freezing at the 3rd loading screen. If it doesn't freeze, I'm in. I have to Play Game! once, get the error pop up, alt-tab and close it, load the launcher again (I never get the error pop up after the 1st time), and then pray it doesn't freeze.

This is after I fix the ITMDP corruption issue. I've tried fixing it multiple ways including reinstalling a few times and even installing the old 1319 version. None fix the ITMDP corruption.

This is a SERIOUSLY buggy game isn't it? These are critical bugs too.

I also get a small square picture of a battleship in the upper left corner of the screen whenever I click Play Game! It's the same as the picture in the middle of the screen but it's grey instead of blue.

I'm not sure what I'm looking for in Event Viewer. There's lots of entries in Application and System and I don't know which might be the crash log.

I did find this:

"The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x100000ce (0xa9cc3262, 0x00000008, 0xa9cc3262, 0x00000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini081311-01.dmp."

and that .dmp lists a bunch of drivers which I can't identify.

Now I'm getting a YF error, on top of the random crashes while trying to load, and it just downloaded 10 files.

just delete the YF.data files and restart it should fix that part.

Next time it blue's not the time and check the logs for an event

It just did it again. I quit, got BSOD, event says:

"The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x100000ce (0xa8757262, 0x00000008, 0xa8757262, 0x00000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini081411-01.dmp."

That's all there is about it. I can't interpret anything within these .dmp files.

I'm going away for a week so I'll have to continue this when I get back (if I decide to continue; I'm nervous about what this game is doing to my computer.)

I'm noticing something very strange. It keeps changing my speaker setup to 7.1 Speakers in the Creative Audio Console.

That may not have anything to do with the driver BSOD I get almost every time I exit the game, but I don't know. It may only have something to do with the expanded sounds option.
