Tb's are more fun but they have some serious issues that need to be resolved by SDE to make them balanced with dB's.
1) they need great base stats to fight all of the aaw that gets thrown at them unlike dB's
2) a good amount of bulge will stop a wave of 10 tb's completely
3) a small amount of belt armor (.2 I believe) takes a serious chunk out of torp dmg
4) torpedoes have to hit the center of a ship to do full dmg
5) torpedo bombing runs are much harder to aim and easier to dodge
6) torpedo planes are slower
Those are all the disadvantages of tb's...and man do you notice them
