There's a huge difference with wanting shared xp and wanting drops that keep you competitive. I'm a min/maxer, so preferably I'd like to get every opportunity to get them. I have no issue with playing CV to get them, they're not free as you so state. You do have to play for them. The issue is that there's the reverse of what was before. Empty rooms with just CV's (instead of empty rooms with bb's). There's a few easy ways to make events like this more fun for everyone, one is not excluding any ship class (this counts for previous events too).

Instead of doing the whole schoolyard insult thing, perhaps you can sit still for a min and realise the game would be a lot better if number balance was given more care between CV's and BB's. An event is a temporary thing, and this event tried to fix a balance nr issue, one which it has failed to do since the reverse is of the previous issue is true, regardless if rooms start faster. Any idea how many rooms reach the 10min timer with just cv's in them? I do. way too many.

Also, everyone likes free stuff.

Once the event is over it's back to 20/0 and no more cvs.

You seem to have read the words "there's a fine balance between giving the masses too much premium stuff, and keeping them down so much that they're not able to remain competitive" and assumed them to mean "events are the only way you can get elites without buying olives."

Is there a secure way of doing this I'm not aware of? Or is it 'give player A credits and hope he gifts you olives'? :o
