  • New Game Mode: Assault

ICEBREAKER
Well simple Idea kinda stolen from several shooters.

Setting:
-Both teams start at a base location.
-Alpha on the farest right of the map near an harbor, Beta on the farest left. (This harbor is conquerable by the enemy team)
-4 Control Point Islands in the middle ( neutral at the beginning, but also conquerable).
-Conquering of Flags starts when a ship enters a certain area near the Flag
-The more ships are near the flag, the faster the own team Flag is raised.

Rules:
-Each team get's a certain number of tickets which is counted down every time a player respawns at the spawn location.
-The number of tickets should be relative to the ship size so a BB6 respawning costs a huge amount, while a FF costs nearly nothing.
-One team wins if it either controls all the flags or the enemy team runs out of tickets.
- Battle ends with either one team winning or time limit of 20 Minutes

Why would this be cool:
-Smaller ships would get a much higher value in Battles, because of rushing etc. possibilities.
-More tactical options: Is it better to rush a certain Flag or wait and then counter attack?


So you see this is kinda Battlefield, but I think it would be really nice to implement such a game mode in NF....
It wouldn't require tooo much addition and as I said above it would make the game much more fun again for
new players or high level players who want to start leveling a new Crew in a DD.

Of course the idea could also be varied a bit and maybe some more balancing rules would be important,
but this is only a first draft.

You can respawn in NF's game mode "OP CONVOY". No one seems to play it now (due to the unusual way EXP is divided I think), but when I joined 5-6 years ago they played it for fun all the time.


yaa convoy is an udder waste of time... :l .... buut getting back to the suggestion.... ii agree ii would love to see that type of mode and also gives me an idear for another different and interesting mode lol

That's because in OP convoy everyone who leaves loses 10 experts so that the team which is losing spectacularly doesn't all quit.

Slowly refilling in an area of the flag? Id say no, But i would say it should be okay if you return to the starting area basically the enemy shouldnt be there and slowly fill it there and id say for gunships only ammo no scouts, Subs only torpedos but the time it takes me to get one bind of ammo a sub gets 1 or 2 torpedos would be my idea and planes get a slow replacement as well maybe have a cap on that ? I dont know, just thoughts.

Could live with that too. Well I think with Respawn penalty time higher in a BB then in a DD noone would abuse that for BB respawn all the time. Especially since losing a BB would mean a huge loss of your teams ticket count.

Of course it would need fine tuning with the balance and everything but I think it's worth a try,

Well you could copy a lot of code from Op.Convoy....

and btw.: If mankind would have never done things that are hard work, then we probably wouldn't exist now....^^
