  • BB MN worth it?

Hey guys , just to clear things up i dont ask if they own or anything , i played the game back than where they were not in game at all..
So basically yeah , back to the game , my brother has US and KM at bb6 , me , well kinda nothing xD
I'm a UK at lvl 83 currently , gonna make it to bb6 hopefully.

I also have an IJN CV for money and u know..

Anyways i wanna start up a new BB so i have some other BB's like my brother :)
+ to have some variation too when getting bored of UK.

So what are the MN BB's in general , i mean fun , pointless , useless ? anything would be good , Ive read bad things about them
but i just can't believe they are as bad as described + charlemagne looks georgeos xD

MN's only advantage is the huge damage. When you oneshot a BB5 with a small BB2 or EBB2 and then two others in a battle... priceless :)

I found the Richeliu actually quite fun in GB1's as well. USe the AA to make a blind spot and know where your 35 degree salvo will land at max angle on full charge, then learn what angle to fire at as you turn away. These two shots will take out almost any BB5 and you have the speed to get back out of danger. I suggest against trying to play it like the other BB4's as it's range will get you eaten alive while they pick you apart.

if you know how to counter that disadv with adv (like speed dodge for and aiming for the correct degree) then it will not a problem/ you could use gradual... and slowest lol, MN can reach reload cap easily and RN is the slowest reload nation and hard to reach reload cap

Just because you can't adjust with its slow reload doesn't mean its a disadvantage. The speed and turning ability and damage per salvo of the Alsace if you know how to use it easily negate the long reload time, but the big question is IF YOU KNOW HOW TO USE IT.

All Nations have their advantages/disadvantages. They also have learning curves. The faster you notice and adjust while playing is worth a lot than whining about it in the forums like the others. And it will also be better to find a Nation that fits your style of play. If you like to wait or if you are very aggressive.

Compared to the other BB5s, the Alsace has one of the slowest reload if not the slowest, it has the shortest range (a BB4 can range it). But it has the fastest turn, smallest hitbox among the BB5s and 3rd highest salvo in game (Charlemagne and Monty are 1st and 2nd) and its it can go 42 or 44 knots.

* Quad guns at low levels
* My favorite DD3
* Great speed in most ships

Cons -
* Lack of range in first three BBs
* No special support sailor besides the restore. (Bleh)

I would almost have to say that MN is a line of BB that is noticeably better with an EBVE crew. It requires more planning and strategy than other nations. Tactics involve hit and run and heavy AA or HH.

Learning to kite and slingshot are essential, or else MN is food. Definitely recommend hitting 900 SD as early as possible, and level gunners higher than BO. PCA Mandel is awesome. MN subs are fun too, with a good splash damage, and reasonable speed.
