it's called having people on your team shouting out when they see bombers or other planes overhead (easy to tell the difference with the Santa Sleigh Dive Bombers than other times of the year).

this gives people who have been sunk something useful to do, and provides an advantage to your teammates who might not normally spot such threats until it's too late to do anything about them.

especially if you're in a blitz game with a lower level CV/Hybrid, or even in a GB game having people give a heads up with there's bombers spotted in a general area (RE: "Bombers, North"), this not only gives the CV a heads up, but also your other teamates (such as the single BB "target" on your team in a blitz") to take action they might not normally do to avoid bombs (if possible) instead of having their sights down range hovering over enemy ships.

what I wish they would do, is remove the "plane sighted" verbal warning whenever one of your own team's ships launches their own scout or planes!
