For those who dont pay attention to the news too much.
MegaVideo and MegaUpload has been shut down by the US Government after a claim by movie industry and music industry that megavideo and megaupload has caused $500 million dollars.

The people who created/ran Megaupload have been arrested. The part that confuses me is, What gives the US government the right to arrest people who run a company thats not even based in the US?
Does US Law apply to the whole world?

I was about to download Naruto manga from megaupload last night and it there appeared in my screen a massive "NOTICE" image with the American flag.

I don't understand America now. They're becoming more and more weird..

um did you guys know that pirate bay has according to the FTCG or w/e there name is has stolen over 7 trillion dollars (which is more money then there is in the entire world) making them the most successful crime organization ever

The funny part is was where the nerd hackers hit several federal government and public websites and shut those down for a day or so in retaliation .




Wont be long though and the internet here will be as censored as it is in China.

Piracy is a service problem. The way to defeat piracy is to provide a better service than the pirates.

For anyone who does care haha, Kim Schmitz the owner of both those sites Xbox Gamertag was Dotcom.. the number 1 player by an Activision released game in November (>.>)..well until he was arrested haha..

no it wasn't his Gamertag was MEGARACER. He's been overtaken by Azaros as number one in the world. get your facts right.

dude do you know anything about currency? the United States AS A WHOLE has over 14 TRILLION DOLLARS amassed. That's a lot more than just 7 trillion. Once again, GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT.
