Okay, so I'm in an Oyodo trying to get a CV and have realised a problem. I won't have enough credits to buy a real CV. While I do currently have a bb2 even if I sell it I wont have the 2mil+ required for CV. (I'm skipping the Hosho)
Any suggestions as to how to get more credits besides "get a loan"?

aside from actually USING the oyodo to earn creds .... (which is what it is FOR) ....


you might try joining a good solid fleet with a decent internal event structure ...
some fleets offer in-house events or contests for its members ..... you can earn creds that way ...
(besides the fleet bank that sometimes provide assistance loans for buying higher level ships)


if you know of a start-up fleet trying to form ... services such as website deign or graphics can earn you creds ..


but bottom line = i'm going to reccomend one of the less popular methods of affording your future CV ...
time .... STAY in the oyodo (and learn to use it effectively) until you do earn enough credits to afford the next CV ..
i believe the technical term is 'grinding' ... how do you think the other cv drivers managed to afford their cv's ??

I completely disagree, the soul purpose for the Oyodo is NOT just to earn credits. You play ships because you enjoy it. The Oyodo is simply a CL-CV hybrid, you make the similar credits as any other CL.

I suggest using the Hosho because the credit boost for Hosho in Blitz is so enormous, you will be able to pay it off with out a problem, I make about 1.5 million with my Hosho on my first day. (unless TNF changed the way hosho earns credits in blitz since I had Hosho)



the best comment and most informative yet.. this is exactly what you should do.. dont forget those cv rooms.. they are money pits.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I actually did switch to the hosho just later on when I had better aircraft so I wasn't wasting a CV slot. My only problem for the hosho is the lack of crew space for other people besides pilots, since i wanted to lvl up some of my bb crew a bit more. But no worries, a Ryujo is around the corner :)

tip: rotate your pilots, example: you got 3 fp onboard, and 1 on harbor, if 1 fp level up, change the newly level up to the one in the harbor, also done this in supports on bbs,

other idea, get a pbb/pca and use your pilot as operator and go aa, if you have no aa gunners try to borrow from fleetmate
