Block-shotting is overrated. When you miss, you miss big, but when you hit, you hit big.
Near block-shotting (having a tight spread) is where its at.

Want to know if its a block? Shoot in front. if you get a "ball" of shells, its a tight spread.

If you get 2 lines of three shells (or 3 in nelson case) that are well defined, you see the small gap between the guns firing positions its a block. If sometimes the spread varies, its not a block.
