Just like which stats effect fighter performance, there is no definitive answer anywhere on the forums.  Should i class to squadron leader or leave them as ace?

I have searched, but i don't know if information is outdated and most posts on the topic give a variety of answers and leave the issues still open
 
Adalbert's Guide says no, but it also says the bomber stat is more important for fighters which is no longer true (I think)

So who can give me a definitive yes or no answer to this question...

Should i class my German 12+ BVE (100 vets) fighters to squadron leaders?

Because ability vomes from both Ability AND the # of crewmen on the sailor.
Most classups giveadditional sailor growth... with the exeption of Fighter pilots (and bombers i guess).
The loss on sailor growth is bigger than the gain on Ability growth.

the issue its that the ability formula uses number of vets and number of experts
and since SQD leader has less crew they end with less true ability
maybe the formula can be tweaked (just for fps) by replacing those factors with percentage of vets and expert instead
that way SQD leader will be on top of Aces and on top of fighters and there will be no need to touch crew
just saying, its not something i care that much

there was actually ppl that got pwnned with CV patch since there was many Bomber Elite Fighters arround
so if its ever fixed theres nothing to cry about, since payers decided themself to not class
