  • Should I quit NF?

So, I was playing today and couldn't even even get a game with 50k attack, and I've been playing for 3 years. Shoul'd I jsut give up? Because I'll never get any better at this game at this rate, and it's really not fun. I mean, a BB4 cant even get more than 40k attack? I swear, everyone is better than me, and I'll never be even a decent player, much less a good one.

I got a good crew, really. lvl 111 BVE gunners with base 11/11, 5 109-100 BVE engineers, 3 lvl 100 ish BVE reps, a lvl 101 BVE scout, and 2 lvl 101 BVE AA gunners. BO just hit LVL 100 and he's BVE as well.

Seems you need to work on your tactical SA (situational awareness) and pick the right time to engage/disengage.

Or perhaps as some suggest, try a different line.  I hop around so many lines and ships that I'm not as good as I could be if I focused on one or two, but I find I mostly shine in a PCA in a supporting role that often turns into a larger one as the game progresses.

I play mostly GB's and I'll often focus on clearing the way for our subs by killing those yummilicious small ships, as well as watching for either enemy subs or doing aa. I also get quite a few mine hits as I always send one out and focus on the scouting a bit.

The point being reiterated is that there are many roles and styles, I personally enjoy playing cruisers (and it's easier to get a game) but would I do as well if I didn't also play everything else?  <----- This allowed me to better refine my tactics by knowing the capabilities and general roles of other ship classes.

Bottomline: If you don't/can't find something you enjoy, time to move on, otherwise, suck it up and diversify your experience and improve your SA.

You may want to play AA or ASW with those HH. Sit behind the bb and support whenever any sub or planes scout them.

dont give up

try doing a different ship line or a different nation and see how that turns out

maybe you like playing a sub or cv give it a try

Obsessed

Quit if you have no will to learn.

If your crew is at BB3 level, at least, there's nothing wrong with it.

Also you're stats are telling me you're either no playing on the line, or you really do just suck.

really, this is why navyfield is losing players because of this attitude

and stats dont matter

I've played this game since it was released, I guess thats almost 8 years now. I havent played non stop of course, infact in those 8 years I've only amassed 6k games. I still get normally around 40k attack in my bb5 because Im just not very good at being aware of my surroundings. Maybe one in every 10 games I'll get 100k+ (Although honestly my supports on my Soyuz arent very good and it's pretty slow, games where my team dominates normally means Im stuck at the back without the opportunity to shoot anything.) When I got my first bb4 I think 75% of my games attack was about 35k, equal to one good salvo, and then Id get sunk :) but that was my first ever BB like that and it takes alot of getting used to the bigger ships I believe.

You could try another route to mix things up a bit, roll a CV or SS crew, your BB crew will always be there to play when you want. Just dont give up, this game demands alot of practise and patience. If you're making mistakes right now, the most important thing is to learn from them. Ancient chinese proverb that, fail to correct a mistake and you've already made a second mistake, something like that. Infact, thats actually about righting what is wrong but I think you get my point. Even when you do badly, you improve as long as you learn frorm it. When you do well, you prove to yourself youve improved.

Don't give up, there are plenty of players who will help you if you feel that's what you need. I believe there are more of them than those that would demean you. But you can always get better at this game, but don't forget to just enjoy the game too :)

Barehere

I for one Bandman Do understand your position.
I also have Many days where I suck big time in my BB.
Then I swap to my cv and still suck there but not so much LOL

As many have said , remember this is a game and if you enjoy the game and the people in it then stay.
Ive been here Almost 7 yrs and (Unfortunately for others ;) ) I will be here if and when it dies. (Or I die LOL)

I still play for fun and have made a lot of Good friends through this game.
This is what keeps me going.

If you need any help ask in Fleet chat and I will get you in contact with a couple of players that may be able to show you a thing or two.
Chat soon,
Bare

The objective of any game is to win.

The point of any game is to have fun :)

If I am right you are an H39 player and also from The Netherlands right? H39 is hard to learn and you'll fail every battle when you don't know how to play it. Same for H44... I used to play Andrea Doria so much. I did what Maykel said, looking and learning from better players. He even called me noob one day, but I am thankfull for that. Since that day I improved, because I thought why'd he call me like that and I found out that he was right. I stopped making those mistakes. ;) Still noob, but atleast I can handle H39 and H44 now a bit :))

When you know how to play H39 it will be a lot more fun and if you want I can help you with that, just PM me ingame. Did you read slingshot topics?
