ok rehor i will explain why most players use macros

in most cases they spam (some nonesence bla bla)
sometimes WTS WTB WTT bla bla

but in somecases it is a crash test cos you know NF is very stable that you can play for 8 hours with out crashing

yeah apparently pressing Alt+f1 is faster than typing X

I dont think its always about saying X is it? sometimes you have to ask AA to cease fire or warn teammates about incoming sub /south/north/mid...ect...there is a lot more to say than X ,you just need to form some constructive macro messages/warnings.


Whcih takes me back to a point I raised time and time again with TNF, when they complained about macro spammers, Why not give us pre-defined macros.

What do we need:

X [player name] Crossing
Need scouts North
Need scouts South
Need scouts Middle
Sub South
Sub North
Sub Middle

Make that a list you can select from and crap like yeah...yeah is gone, WTS/B/T spam is gone.

Just disabling macros during the ready screen should be enough.

There isn't really a valid reason to need macros while the battle is still loading.

my solutions:


-time limit per macro:

you cannot use macro 1 again in about 25-30 seconds.
you cannot macro use another after 1 was used for 10-15 seconds.

I will say the ONLY REASON I use the in game macros are for TNF warnings.

I have such things as [TNF] Please Take Trade To The Trade Area

etc.. easier than typing that whole message 30x a day... other than that, macros annoy me
