First off, I'd like to thank Yuno for being so kind and spamming us with events. Its nice to find at the end of a game I got a pair of reload gunners or to log in and have the choice of playing some battle rooms that typically aren't available. However, there was an unexpected consequence to this latest event - excessive greed

In GB, I noticed that when I was bombing, at the last second, the ship I had highlighted was sunk just as I was about to drop bombs on it. I was a bit surprised as this typically only happens at the end of the game when the winning team all wants to be the one to get in the last kills. Later in the game, same thing happens again, but this time  there are multiple ships around. After several games, I began noticing a pattern; whenever I highlighted a ship on the line, just as my planes got to it, it was blasted. As a test, I saw a BB and a CL side by side and the BB was taking hits. I went after the CL. Sure enough, as soon as  soon as the planes were over the target and  dropping the bombs, the CL was sunk  from under me and the BB had stopped taking hits.

Yesterday, I decided to give the blitz event a shot. Like someone else has already posted, there were people spraying HH everywhere including hitting their own ships. I have no problem with HH used against surface ships in GB, but in blitz where you have new people trying to learn the game, its really nothing more than an exploit. I saw a number of kitnas and they were spamming torps everywhere. At one point, I observed a kitna sink three of his own at point blank range. It was a disgusting show of  team play and also reenforced to me why there MUST be a nerf on trop XP. At numerous times, people called out "hey there is 20 seconds left for premium" and were laughed at, ignored, so on. I obsereved one host intentionally get 50 people into hobbit map so A team would lose people outside the map and it would be autowin for bravo.

None of these things really are against the rules. But acting like this detracts from the community. If people were acting like jerks, then we wouldn't need server mergers to keep games going and we could spend more time working on improvements to the game. If I offend you by calling out something you were doing of late, my point isn't to argue. My point is to bring to your attention that there is things worth more than winning or getting higher in the rankings. Being known as a decent person is worth far more. Also, just because this is the internet it doesn't mean that there aren't real people out there that you are acting like a jerk to. Show some sportsmanship and be a stand up person. Thank you.

****EDIT****

The point isn't about stolen kills or if I'm highlighting too soon, not using manuel, whatever. Thank you for the tips. The point to this topic is that the event is bringing out the worst in people. Other players (including some that I see posting on the forums all the time) should think about their actions.

it has been dropping for years , back in the day every newb question asked in the waiting room got answered by a lot of people . now ur lucky if u can get an answer.
ok ok u can still get some on good days , but in my experience it used to be a more friendly environment .
less hate and bitterness .

and with fleets came more fleet to fleet boasting

faster games faster wait times bigger exp = less time to be nice

Unfortunatly selfish play is a constant thing we have to put up with. I drive all kinds of ships including BB's CV's and SS's. I get kills stolen every time. Its just the way of things. About PHH in blitzes.. i think someone brought a wonder idea.. kita + torps = nobody spammin phh and close range for a long time.. :D but seriously, if you are a BW cv player you have to realize alot of players dont like you, cv and bb players alike. BB players think you should be giving sight ( which is a logical idea) and they also get mad at you since you cant provide fc from other bw players. You cannot make everyone happy so I suggest you just learn to manual DB that way you dont target anyone until the last second. :D

I thought this thread was going to have something to do with Chile's demeanor post-Hamburg.

Is it me or did everyone miss lionels point? Its not the tactics hes mad about its the fact that the selfish players around are blaming everything on other people. Im a CV person myself and i know even with 2 fighter pilots 2 dive bombers and 2 torp bombers how hard it can be to make everyone happy. its just the fact that they are blameing their death on each other or blaming it on the poor sight (wich everyone just seem like they want to complain about even if they can see just about every enemy ship) It seems impossible to make everyone content even if you kill 3 BB4s+, a CV and are protecting as many BBs as you can to help out the team. people now adays are just to thick headed and cant see past their nose. One thing I always stress is if you dont like how one person is running it, be it and try to do better. So I have decided to try BB.
P.S. I also have noticed the major disregard for comms in GB if you send messages stateing where you need help a CV might at least try and help.

prolly the fact you have a bit of everything and not enough of anything.

For the record, when my own scout go down, I often end up totally blind. When this happens, and I ask for some help, when the CV answer I saw fine just now and to stop whining, cuz he is obviously doing a good job, I do have a small facepalming moment.

As far as the OP post, if he get KSed by a BB, his choice of target was poor and useless.

If you want to bomb, you don't bomb some BB that is going to be sunk shortly anyway, you bomb the BB that is behind the line, the CVs.

Only reason a CV should try to bomb a BB on the frontline is to stop it from rampaging his team, not get final hit credit. A BB5 is fighting 2 BB4 and they are stuggling? Bomb it, np.

A BB5 is about to nuke a BB3 and you try to bomb it first? Don't be surprised you wasted bombers.

angeal I try to keep a balance so when I send 2 wings out (usaly a ftr and a db) i have 2 more feuling so i can keep cycling always keeping a ftr wing and a bomber wing in the air. and if anyone one says i should make my tbs dbs the reason why i keep them tbs is the fact that A deck armor ho BB will have a weeker buldge and sometimes when thats not the case doing both at the same time always increase the survival rate whle you send wing after wing to bring the armor down.

GeneralSJG
CV's::::
this is how to win a GB....
Do not launch Bombers until air superiority has been established. Which means BB's can see. If you think you are going to sink a full health BB before a BB will, YOU ARE WRONG...
If a BB on your team can see the other BB they will and can sink him. If the opposing BB is blind and can be seen by your BB's their is a good chance your team mates will sink him.

If you are south and your BB's are gone, then hell yes bomb the rushing BB's...

Either way, Bombers should not even be launched until your team has an advantage...
Thank you have a nice day
