What are your thoughts?

I'm enjoying the change up, and I think if this is done more, it would only be good for the community.

Solution for CV Select Mode?

Place a limit on Fighter Planes/Pilots in those rooms and/or make it so that you have to carry a certain amount of Bomber planes/pilots.

The numbers would obviously need to be configured (I'd like to see a percentage limit,like say for example,40% of your planes can be fighters) but this would help shift the focus to,you know,bombing the crap outta the other CV's,and not spamming T4's and Local's for credits.

And limit the gun Caliber to 4" or 5" to prevent gunships from running around.

End Result? Less AB,more Bombing.

Otherwise,i like the idea of bonuses to certain room types,helps breaks up the general monotony of Great Blitz,now if it was Perpetual...

Just need a "Sub" Select Mode room to even it out. Keeps everything seperate and no headaches about "Nub CV" or "OPed Subs", or "Nub BBs"



They should have a BW Select CV room setting. No guns. Just bombs.

Perpetual would be awesome. A better solution for CV mode would be; Don't give rewards for shooting fighters down, and don't give any rewards for retreating. Maybe a reduction in calibre of guns too.

If you wanted those types of rooms, the Max ship level cap for the BB2/3/4 would have to be 89 or 90...just sayin' :-P

Let's see...

CV room - KM flattop BBs with 11" guns 1 fighter 1 bomber and BB supports loaded that make me long for the days the Ise remod was considered a CV so i could trash those tards with 14" guns.

BB Room - Full of BB5-6 while i have a BB4... i can (sort of) keep up with BB5s but facing multiple BB6s that can easely range you is not the best scenario for anyone.

BB-CA rooms - All my BOs are above lvl 80 so dunno.

TBH, I've always believed that there should be a maximum percentage limit on CVs like this for each type of plane they can carry.

Something like:

Every CV can only carry a maximum % of each type of plane (percentage being 40, 50, or 60 depending on balance issues). For example, let's use 40% as the maximum amount.

This would mean that a CV can have 40% Fighters, 40% Dive Bombers, and 20% Scout planes (or 20% Torp Bombers, or 10% Scout and 10% Torp Bombers).

A Plane limit like this would nudge CV players to be more team-oriented because they would be able to protect their team with their fighters, but also ensure that they can ATTEMPT to damage the enemy team with their bombers (and also provide better scouting ability if they do choose to carry some Scout planes).

As I showed in the example 40% is only one of the balance-friendly caps I believe would be best, but with the FW and BW CV players on our servers it may be more server-friendly to use the 50% or 60% limits as to not start a HUGE uproar.

I mean this towards Overall Balance, not just in CV Select Rooms btw...

I do not need rules in place to limit my ships or the way i want to set it up. If i want to run a 100% bomber whore cv then I know that i will probobly lose the match. If i want to run a 100% fighter whore I know then when my BB fail I am screwed. If i want to run a mix I will have better advantage. Perhaps i only need 15 bombers when you think i need 30. Why should i be forced to put 30 when i only need 15?

If i want to win I know what setup will work I do not need someone else telling me how much of each planes i need. + my cv's run different for each nation and for each game mode.

I know alot of people can't figure it out but I don't see why I should be limited because others act stupid.
