if they merged the servers again I think that it would be the time to pack my bags and go to a new game. merging the servers is a patch for the real problem. The real problem is that more people leave this game then new players join.
This problem is added to by the player base, almost no one is "helpful" in game someone who is new and doesn't understand why to do things one way or even how to do other things gets flamed and called a noobie. People don't really help lower level players in blitz and then when they are forced to play gb and only know blitz tactics they are raged at. For most players that don't join a fleet, they have little to no help in learning some of the basics. I know that I have seen bb5 with auto aim but those same players with help from even a small group of player learn manual and improve to be a lot better bb players.
When I first started playing I would have not continued past level 40ish if I hadn't joined with several others that had played before and were willing to hold "training rooms" for not only me but anyone else who needed help or wanted to learn. This was how I learned manual aiming, slingshoting, how to dodge dive and torp bombers, how to set up my ships ie. .2belt and only enough bulge to not slow down, how to drag my fighters, how to manual dive and torp bomb and how to approach the ships when doing so, how to dodge aa with my scout and bombers, even learned how to set up my crew, how to maximize my SD and how to dodge incoming shells
Now you can learn all of this by playing the game without help but see how less frustrating it is to learn this with someone showing how to do it without just raging that your a noob.
