Giving that this scenario is taking place before Hitler took power this question is redunant.
*IF* this was to take place while Hitler was in power, yes i would trust my flank to him. Hitler considered Britain part of the Aryan Master Race and idolized our political system and the houses of parliament.
And regardless of whether you are a 20 year military vet or not. Your facts & figures are still largely wrong. You quoted ship numbers at the end of the 2nd World War.
We are talking about something taking place with Britain at the height of its Imperial Glory.
After this reply, I'm done talking here as there is no point. Hitler used temporary alliances with countries to divide his enemies and destroy them. Don't forget that he accused his own generals of failures of offenses that occured because of his own misguided orders and ordered shootings of his own civilians for outlandish and trivial things. Not exactly trustworthy.
LOL @ the facts and figures. I quoted them to demonstrate the difference in manufacturing capability during the war. I don't mean to demean the UK in any way, but they were not even close to being at their greatest peak. That ended with WWI. You should read Vulnerability of Empire, where Kramer does a great job disccussing the end of France's and UK's empires.
As a matter of fact, previous to WWI, the UK had a two navy standard, where there navy was able to defeat any TWO of the next great fleets. They were never able to achieve that again, and as I've been pointing out in other replies, UK was a proponent of the ship building holidays and London naval treaty as they knew the only way to maintain superiority was by halting Japan and US construction plans.
I'm not coming back to this thread as you keep taking things out of context or you are talking off the top of your head. You don't believe me? Go read and learn on your own.
