Is this event still going? No prize draw or further questions for a week.

And it is interesting to get to know the right answer for the 3rd week. Is it Ismail?

Hello,

Since the prize for the 3rd question will most likely be changed (or to say "upgrade") , and therefore the event will be "paused" until further notice , but I'm sure that won't be long.

About the answer for the 3rd question , I'm afraid I am unable to give you the answer at this moment , but it's not the Izmail.

Any further update about the event will be posted in the event thread.

Why no answer yet?
Applications are not accepted anymore, are they?

The answer's pretty easy if you read the clues carefully. The only pitfall is that people tend to forget it isn't classified as a battleship.

I had hesitations about Stalingrad, but they were planned only 3.
Other hints about the ship were too blurred (i mean caliber, leader, etc) and can be applied to both or to none of them.

E.g. the leader:
Stalingrad - Stalin, however, the name of the ship comes from the city "Stalingrad", but not from Stalin.
Izmail - the revolution and Nikalai II death.

The main caliber:
Renown, Repulse, Hood has 18" single guns. Both, Stalingrad and Izmail, have less caliber.

The in-game shooting range among the tiers: O-Pro1, more or less Hood (however, I didn't measure Hood's range in BB3 tier).

Mobility: all BCs are good. Some, like Dulia14, Repulse, etc. are especially good.

But all other BCs (including Renown, Repulse and Hood) were build, if didn't accidently miss any.

the last clue in the question ruins all of it for me....
"it have biggest caliber..."

BB3 - Hood 18" (singles)
BB4 - Yamato (18.1")
BB5 - Super Yamato (20.1" doubles)
BB6 - Amagi 20.5"

No one of those on my opinion doesn't fit the all rest clues in equation...
The BB1-2 tier cant fit the (one of the biggest ship) neither...

I think "ship class" was about BB/BC/CV/SS/CA/CL/...
So,
BattleCruiser - 18.1", but you're right - it should be RN. The death could be - Churchill. But which all 4 ships were cancelled then? Hoods?

I said read carefully. Don't overthink things.

The UK BCs, as designed and planned, never had 18" guns. The 18" singles are not, and never were, intended as a viable gun set for them in the game. It should be fairly obvious that the clues are referring to intended gun sets, as it just gets silly when you start mucking it up with posible alternatives. Thus, anyone bringing the 18" singles into the debate is just screwing around or making excuses for being indecisive.

The clues never, EVER indicate who or what the ship was named after, only that they were cancelled as a result of a leader's death. It doesn't mean they had to have been named after the leader. Again, this is a case of overthinking.

Also, it says the number planned, not the number ordered. Initial plans usually don't pan out, especially in shipbuilding.

Look at bold.
So read carefully and don't overthink about reality. It is said: in NF.

However, even despite that, have a look here (just to broaden the view):

Thanks, I know. That's why I have sent application with a name not the same as the dead political leader I thought. Yes, I thought about Ismail since it fitted the best from all I've searched.
However, there should be some strong relationship to political leader I guess. Right?
A ship class name, devoted to the city, that is named in a favour of the leader - a good relation, right?

The same about planned ships: whos plans should be taken into account as main then? I guess there must be some documents about this. And since it was given as a hint, there should be something famous, well-known and well-defined that only 4 ships were really planned, not more and not less. Otherwise, that shouldn't be a hint. Am I right?

I had 2 options: Ismail and Stalingrad. Ismail suits better (because of planned ships).
If not mistaking, all others BCs (which are presented in NF) were built.

Which ship I have missed then?

It's Stalingrad class

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalingrad_class

It was planned at least 4. and it was cancelled after Stalin was dead
