The last 3 HDs we have had the attacking fleet has cancelled it with minutes remaining. Not exactly sure why any fleet would go the extra step and cancel the HA while we are defending.

Does the HA game cancel automatically when the attacking fleet does not reach the harbour tile (or far away from the harbour tile) with certain time limits such as 5 min before reaching the harbour tile, 6 min before reaching 1 tile away from harbour, etc. before the 2 hr deadline?  That may explain it.
