Well, it's been an ongoing problem with NF. Most rooms fill to 20 BB's and everyone MUST
wait (with the invention of GBII) long periods of time for the room to start. This is a serious
turnoff to new players and any MMO needs player base growth to keep the game alive.

So the question is:

Why do you think the servers have low CV activity?

My observations,

-Monotonous fighter biased gameplay. BB's go blind and become aggravated at you.
-Shared XP resulting in weak rewards for being successful.
-AA ships. Cause and affect. AAW'ing is the only practical form of getting experts. With ships
like the Mandel, it's getting a little ridiculous. Moltke's and Pensacola's are bad enough.
-Low fuel on planes. I've noticed this hurts TB usage as it's difficult to regroup them after
the "low fuel" mark is hit.
-Lack of CV content. Especially when you compare it to BB content.
-Small diversity between cv nations.
-Shared CV6's between IJN/KM and US/UK
-No real advantage of owning a CV6 over a PCV. PCV in some ways is better since you can
use a support on the BO slot.

Discuss.

I love my pcv...love playing it, and everything about it. I've tried making BB crews but it just
doesn't work...I'm terrible with BB's.

With my CV, the satisfaction I draw from seeing the other side lit up like a christmas tree is
like no other. Knowing the other team can't see our ships, and being an integral part of that
success is an experience like no other. I enjoy the supporting role...enjoy the background,
and doing a damn good job at it. That once-in-a-blue moon you get a comment 'nice job cv'
or 'good cv' is one of the nicest things you can say, because we get it so little. It can be dull
at times...more fighter fuel would be very, very much appreciated :)

I'd also love for some way for our work to be appreciated. In one game I can be a completely
incredible FW...scouting, keeping planes away, yet the next I can do mediocre and get the
same reward. The screen being lit up for 90% of a game should be translated somehow into
a payoff...

I think KM T1 is fastest.

agreed to v2c

if u want get experience about micromanage, just use normal fts since lvl 40. using
local until 60 then get normal fts mean u will be food and a potentially suicidal, coz u
didnt have that experience. im pretty sure too T2 and T3 US (idk other nations) are
faster than UK KM and IJN, so u only need micro to a good scouting. use local only is
the easy, but no skilled, way.

Meh, my past 2 CV lines I used locals until my FP's hit 60. It's not like the T1/Locals era lasts
long if you have prem anyway.

The best way to use locals is to clear a path for BB scouts. Make sure no one is fighter camped.

Locals are free food anyway...

At the risk of sounding egotistical, I've ALREADY got free food here and now. People
wanna use locals and use them as their main fighters and have NFI on how to use their
fighters towards the end-game?Fair enough, not my problem.

I always thought that they were mainly for BW's to be honest. Put a few on your ship,
load them (as their have a quick loading time) and use them to clear your deck then
launch a wave of bombers. Their flight time makes them completely unusable as
anything other than point defence

By learning to fight against higher tiered planes with better pilots then mine I learned
alot about fighter mechanics actually.

@ Ewood

You thar!
Why not join the anti local whine club?
If SDE removes locals you wil have free food here and now.

@ V2

Would You kindly tell me what have you learned from using at level T1 fighters?
Because the only thing learnable from them i could think of is evading AA ships and
changing altitude (but not too much else they will get murdered by AAW).

Oh and grouping them up but thats something you can pick up in a game or two.
Besides even when grouped T1 pose a minimal threat to anything (unless high level but we
are talking about pilot levels less than 75).

I know T1 got buffed but the extra armour and DP make little difference in a firefight
because at lvl means 40-60 (no chance against anyone using T3-T4 unless they have 0 vets
and experts) and after lvl 60 you get to use T2 that CAN catch bombers and with modest
pilots (i had 50 vets and 100 experts) will kill them (most of the time).

Personally i used locals all the way to T2. After that i loaded locals only for CV rooms.
And now i'm effectively blocked out of using them since my PFS are lvl 95

I, myself, don't play my Illustrious that often mostly because the rewards on a cv in gb2
suck.
Getting 20k exp for a game with 120k attack - yes, I do bomber whore simply because
it's FUN, something that's important in games, a lot more fun than click-dragging my
fighters away from higher lvl ones with more vets (my fighters suck) - and I could get
more exp for aaing with a moltke and a few less credits in my lion 2. Just when you
thought cv would earn you more cash.
No wonder not a whole lot of people decide to play cvs.

Also about locals - I used to run my collosus with locals. Staying right behind the bb line
south as a support cv and spotting out incoming fighter and bomber waves. It was a
very good tactic in my opinion and a lot more successful than using T1s or T2s that get
outrun by scouts and T2 bombers. :(
