Italian bb4 is too small, please check this bb if not please give me a frigate to the damage and scope of a mountain so I like to play. That size is inappropriate for the game and desvalancea all.

They are test server screenshots, too bad the test server is kinda dead otherwise i would post updated screens of the guns since hopefully the angle should be fixed to be 30 degrees.

I have sunk quite a few italian bb4's thus far and mostly in the kronstadht at that, the kron is a bit underpowered but with the izmail triple 14" guns it is a monster. 

They are extremely hard to hit though and the damage output they have makes it exceptionally difficult to kill the buggers reasonably.  So let's hope the ship resizing stuff gets here in the next week or so since it's now on NFKR.

 

@KingCong:  Once the test server is working again ill try that see if it works.  I did the set-ups to maximize deck armor and the set-ups i have seen on the live server which is 4 dual turrets.  The 2 configs i found were the lvl 67 12.6" and the bb4 lvl 91 12.6" guns.

Most use the lvl 91 since they have insane range even though the lvl 67 give you more armor ability for the same speed.  So it is mostly a no brainer.  Yet thanks for informing me ill investigate it once the test server is not dead.

Agreed, there lots of facts play in. For example, my ship is twice as big and hard to miss so if he doesn't aim like 3 degrees too far he will hit me with at least his half salvo which kinda blow up my SD for sure.

Compared to that even with my pretty tight spread it is hard to lead more than 4 shells into his ship even when he is NOT EVADING.

3) Evading time

When I see an enemy firing at me, for example Iowa, its pretty easy to at least evade in a way so he probably won't hit me with 9/9 because I have 4.5 seconds time to react (-1s because I'm from europe and my ping is beyond 800 :P)

When I fire at max range he has about 3 - 3.5 seconds to react, which is insanely much for a ship in CL size with a speed better than mine and an really impressive turning force.

For me, no chance. From shoot to impact I have 2 seconds maximum to evade which is impossible for 2 reasons:

- I cannot evade by coming closer because the low-altitude shells will hit anyway by a chance of 90% because I simply cannot get far away enough.

- I hardly can evade by getting further away because I'd have tu turn away AND turn in again to increase the distance. Otherwise my ships fat butt would been hit anyway which has pretty much the same effect like I wouldn't evade at all.

4) Close combat

Forget it. Even if I land all my salvos at right angle I need 3-4-5 good hits to take him down (See point 2). But he can set his gun angle to 5~8 and doesn't need to adjust anymore because he'd hit me anyway because of that low altitude and my huge ship.

I'd rather fight a Victoria than a RM BB4. The BB5 of the RM is - as far as I can see - better balanced compared to its tier fellows.

I don't deny the idea of the low angled guns and compact sized ships. As some people before me said, its something new, but as people have to realize, its something currently just not fitting in this games balance.

If I had to make a suggestion: Size is ok, Angle is ok but make it just a bit slower, a bit less range (like L1) and reduce its firepower way more. It twoshots anything without even hit with all shells and if it does, pretty much everything is a oneshot - which - and people be honest - is ridiculous for 12,6" shells.

This guy is 100% right on everything, like I said many times having low angled guns is a MASSIVE advantage.

 

@GrieferLord: What about using the BB4 triples on the BB5? Does it give extra speed/AW ability? Needs to be looked at to prevent more Le Havre-like exploits.

I have already looked into that a bit, not extensively but a bit.  The RM bb4 guns using triples only on the bb5 has the same if not more range than the vittorio's bb5 guns. 

They are indeed lighter and i believe give you a bit more speed, from 42-44 not sure though. Armor wise im not sure ill have to test that once the test server is not broken.  I can only hope the next time i test it though that the bb4 guns will be angle 30 guns instead of 25.

I tried to sink RM BB4s but I found that It is almost impossible unless
the enemy on RM BB4 is new to this game :(

I didn't have chance to use RM BB4 so I can't be sure about it

but this is my opinion, this ship can own any BB5 without player's superior skill(even AW L2 because armour is no use against RM BB4 guns!!!!! low angled guns fire powerful shells on the belt! and I think the spread of guns is decent...)

this ship is just... OP...

I think the only disadvantage of this ship is low speed compare to other fast BB4s... haha
in my opinion the size should be increased and shell damage or range should be nerfed a little bit...

anyway I guess balancing work is being done on the test server

-- oh god I just found out that this ship goes 40 knt!!! fast enough... then... no disadvantage

The shell damage is almost the same as the Sevastopol, now are we going to nerf the Sevastopol guns? No. The RM get a little advantage on the 25 angle guns. Almost like the QV 30 angle guns. The ship does go 42 knots with a crew at level. when crew gets level 105 and above ship goes 40 knot. As for the RM BB5 no armor and the ship goes 42 knots. I have 3 shotted a QV twice by just using AP shells, no one else shot at the QV. Just my shells only. At the end when QV sunk my hit rate was 30%. Right now my crew is at level 116. Gunners has 170+ vets

The it italian BB4 SHALL be nerfed, that point is not debatable, also if you mean the russian sevas it too will have a minor nerf but only from shell damage, it's value is a bit too high atm.

Also the italian bb's will now be angle 30 guns no longer 25, once we are able to finalise a few things we shall apply it to the live server, that is after we have tested it and gotten everything in order.

I think I'll continue to roll my 37 through 120 (when i get time). BB5 is pretty much a joke. Average 100kish dmg and 20-30% accuracy. Same accy but 3x the damage on average on the BB4.

 

I think having an OP BB4 makes up for a fail BB5. Just my opinion, until the BB5 gets fixed ill be rollin my 37 @ 37/w a particular setup :)

lol i will make sure to see if we can at least get something to not allow the italian bb4 to aw, that way we have less lazy bb drivers.

That was their intent.  Suck people in with 'god mode' and many will throw in money to speed up leveling.

A balanced RM fleet would not be nearly as interesting.  The imbalance is deliberate, cynical, and smart.

Angle 30 guns for RM will make it more a sailor killer, which is okay for me. Will have a bunch of mini QV's lol
