As requested I have raised the game stability/crashing issue and I can report back that
yes these issues are constantly being worked on and our GMs in Korea beat up the Devs
about it on practically a daily basis for us. As always, the challenge is one of
configurations with the plethora of windows versions and system setups that we face in the
PC world. Consequently, there is unlikely to be one silver bullet that solves the issues
for all and for those lucky ones that dont need a silver bullet it is working out why
their's works fine.

To try and get some data together it might help if forum readers can answer the following
questions for us:

OS in use:

CPU in use:

RAM installed:

When you crash:

Type of crash (freeze, crash out of program, have to restart machine, etc):

Wired Internet: Yes or No

Do you use alt+tab in order to go to your desktop? If yes, when?

Thanks in advance.

Desktop (Custom):
OS in use: Windows XP Professional 32 Bit, Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit and Windows 7
Ultimate 64 Bit (Also in Windows 7's "XP Mode" Virtural Machine and
all Windows 2000, XP and Vista Virtual Machines)

CPU in use: AMD Athlon II x3-2.7 Ghz (Overclocked to 3.4 with 4th core unlocked)-200 Mhz
(Overclocked to 238 Mhz)

RAM installed: 2 gigs Dual Channel DDR2 1066Mhz (Overclocked but I forget to what, but its
the first setting above normal) (Usable 1.92 gigs)

Video Card: Main ATI Radeon HD 5450 512 Mb GDDR3 and Intergrated NiVidia GeForce 7000
256MB dedicated plus 128 megs of Ram (For Second screen to see TS or Vent)

When you crash: Random Normally exactly 2 minutes after logging in.

Type of crash (freeze, crash out of program, have to restart machine, etc): Process is
suddenly ended and switches to desktop. (This started after the hackshield fix patch,
before that the original hackshield release plain always error coded, before than I had a
grand total of 15 crashes since 2006...) Occasionally I can't get game restarted, This is
fixed by logging off and back on, this is a hackshield but where doesn't close after the
game crashes and hackshield finds the new NF process as a hack (Based on my Observations),
Many times I'm in waiting room and the match will start and I'll still be in the waiting
room able to move around but not type or exit NF without Crashing the process

Wired Internet: Yes T.W.C with T.B.

Do you use alt+tab in order to go to your desktop? If yes, when? Normally I just use my
laptop but Yes, only after if absolutely needed. Normally I only do this only after the
game has run for 2 games in a row without lagging loading ships or crashing which I have
never crashed after 2 games suceessfully complete until NF's memory leak (Yes it has one)
reaches max ram after 5 hours (Used to be 30 minutes till I added 3 partitions of Page
File...) but ONLY if my Laptop is busy.

Laptop (HP Compaq 6910p-Business Class Laptop):
OS in use: Windows 7 32 and Windows 7 64

CPU in use: Intel Core 2 Duo-2 Ghz(Overclocked to 2.2 Ghz)--200 Mhz Clock
Frequency(Overclocked to 210)

RAM installed: 3 gigs Laptop DDR2 800 Mhz (NOT OVERCLOCKED)(Usable 2.75 Gigs)

Graphics Card: ATI Mobile Radeon HD X2300 256 MB dedicated plus 256 MB R

When you crash: Same as desktop

Type of crash (freeze, crash out of program, have to restart machine, etc): Same as Desktop

Wired Internet: Both, Wired with Wireless disabled while playing games. (Wireless is 300
MB N Band)

Do you use alt+tab in order to go to your desktop? If yes, when?: No, I normally don't
have other task running with NF on my laptop.

OS in use: Windows 7 (64-Bit OS)

CPU in use: AMD II x 4 810 Quad Core

RAM installed: 8 GB DDR2

When you crash: I only Crash once randomly when I first start up NF for the day. (Still
believe that the Game Engine needs a serious Overhaul)

Type of crash (freeze, crash out of program, have to restart machine, etc): Program just
shuts down.

Wired Internet: Yes or No No.

Do you use alt+tab in order to go to your desktop? If yes, when? Nope.

Thank you to everyone who has replied so far, except jace who is now taking a
break from the forums. I am collating the data in to a spreadsheet and adding your
additional comments as well, which will be put to good use by the GMs. If anyone
has tried any adjustments to settings that has ultimately improved any of their
crashing issues then either add it here or feel free to email me and I will put that in
with the data as well.

Thanks again.

Adding another update to the crashing issue I am having.

Time Stamp of Crashes: 10:24 PM PST and 10:28 PM PST roughly

First Crash: Navyfield froze while loading the game. I had to use the Task Manager to end
the application. Immediately tried to load Navyfield again once the first process had
ended, and this led to the second crash.

Second Crash: Loaded Navyfield, logged into my account, took ship to Battle Area. I joined
a room, and Navyfield crashed upon entering the room where the ships won't load and I
can't type anything in the chat box. I had to use the Task Manager to end the application
again.

No Alt+Tabbing happened during or between the crashes.

This needs to be resolved
