As requested I have raised the game stability/crashing issue and I can report back that
yes these issues are constantly being worked on and our GMs in Korea beat up the Devs
about it on practically a daily basis for us. As always, the challenge is one of
configurations with the plethora of windows versions and system setups that we face in the
PC world. Consequently, there is unlikely to be one silver bullet that solves the issues
for all and for those lucky ones that dont need a silver bullet it is working out why
their's works fine.

To try and get some data together it might help if forum readers can answer the following
questions for us:

OS in use:

CPU in use:

RAM installed:

When you crash:

Type of crash (freeze, crash out of program, have to restart machine, etc):

Wired Internet: Yes or No

Do you use alt+tab in order to go to your desktop? If yes, when?

Thanks in advance.

Meatbomb
OS in use:
Windows Vista

CPU in use:
Laptop
Premade 2009
AMD Turion(tm) X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile ZM-80 2.1 GHz
RAM installed:
4 gigs

When you crash:
3 Types of Crash and most common occurrences

A) Hard Crash - Game crashes to desktop (Connection to game host has been lost)
Mid Game: Seems a "blip" drops the connection with the servers. Typically happens
after several minutes in battle

B) Soft Crash - Game becomes unresponsive forcing a Control Alt Delete
(taskmanager) shutdown of the game. Commonly happens when joining/waiting on
games. GUARANTEED to happen at least twice a night for myself. It has been this
way for years.

C) Repetitive Crash - Game becomes unresponsive forcing manual termination.
Once the game does a "soft crash" it triggers a repetition of this crash. After a soft
crash, I will restart the game, rejoin another room and immediately crashes. This can
get severe causing myself to repeat this pattern in excess of five times. Its at this
point that I decide I don't want to play NF (Or NF doesn't want me to play rather)
and I move on to bigger and better things.

Type of crash (freeze, crash out of program, have to restart machine, etc):

Wired Internet: Yes or No
No

Do you use alt+tab in order to go to your desktop? If yes, when?
Yes, very often in game, in waiting room, in harbour etc etc.

firezmissles
OS in use: Windows 7 64-bit

CPU in use: Pentium(r) Dual-Core CPU E5500 @ 2.80 GHz

RAM installed: 6.00 GB

When you crash: Sometimes I will freeze and crash when joining a room.
Sometimes I will freeze and crash when the room splits(large majority because I
was alt tabbed) And the most idiotic reason, for double left clicking too quickly. Yes..
its complete BS. It's not bad enough the scout controlling thing won't cancel so I
have to left click many more times but it'll make me crash.

Type of crash (freeze, crash out of program, have to restart machine, etc): Navyfield
freezes and then I get the message NF has stopped working.

Wired Internet: Yes

Do you use alt+tab in order to go to your desktop? If yes, when?: Every single time
because I have to wait the stupidly long GB2 room to fill up.

Yes, in harbor and in the room.

Adding one thing on to this, vick quit saying it's us it's the servers get a better
company on them. I talked with Primary target and they offered SDE a deal after i talked
with them SDE didn't take it so ya don't tell me that SDE ain't a cheap company.

Shetland
OS: Windows Vista

RAM: 2 GB Ram

When you crash: Most crashes occur as I enter battle waiting rooms. All the ships don't load.
Probably happens 1/4 of the time? Sometimes, the waiting room goes dead. But it's a bit rarer.
Once I enter a battle I almost never have problems. I rarely experience lag.

Type of crash: It just sits there, and nothing happens, have to restart game.
