I have a couple of issues that I think warrant discussion.


1, 1 hour 50 minutes .... This was reduced from the original 2 hours because some fleets
whined when 2 hours official prep wasn't enough. so SDE changed the time allowing an
additional 10 minutes for prep.

I believe that this was a mistake from the beginning but no one asked me. If 2 hours prep
isn't enough then tough crappola. Give the original 2 hour attack back and lets play.


2, How have the bb6 and cv6 affected HA ?

Originally bb5 and cv5 made HA, in my opinion, fun, more opportunities for individual
accomplishments to affect the outcome of battles.. Now every one and their dog has
multiple bb6's.

BB/CV6 toughness make it almost impossible to kill quickly, Making for long battles which
may be enjoyable but are effectively useless in the strategic sense.

What can be done ? Well increasing time limit would be one thing, Limiting numbers
another. Who knows, but i think it's worth a discussion.

about the BB6 nerf for a "easy to kill" or BB5.5 will make the lvling to get the BB6
pointless :S

also for the time modification on the HA, more time will make the HA a mass
ship/power than a strategy gameplay

im not sure if a modification in time between tiles will be good too
(probably not)

and if the time isnt enought to get the Harbour probably your fleet need a rethinking
of the strategy as well (I don't want to offend anyone)

and the AW modification, what is the point of have the armor option on your ship if
you can't use it?!?

and for god sake dont change the smoke usage

I am in agreement with, it seems, almost everybody in this thread (save two or
three)...I do not want BB6 usage limited in HA, but there are changes that need to
be made to the tier.

Someone mentioned before that it would be silly to want BB5.5s, but that's how I
view them now. Remember, they were nerfed the week they hit the server in a
decision outside the guidelines set forth by the ONF of that time. Because they were
"too powerful".

I'm not exactly sure how I want them changed. I'd like it to be easier for the tier to
kill each other as their overall damage output is just pitiful when compared to the
BB5s. However, I do enjoy BB4 combat more than BB5 combat since the damage
output isn't horribly out of line causing defensive battles.

Smokes and subs...meh. I don't like either one, but I do not have a reasonable
solution, so I can't push for their removal. They are part of the game and, now, part
of HA in a big way.

Overall, I would love for HA to be extended. I know it would not be very popular, but
I love the game mode and I'd play it for a lot longer than 2 hours.

2 minutes for 4 tiles, 3 minutes for the last.

11 minutes of room preparation.

Just to clarify.

I also thought the original complaint against 2 hours / 2 hours was that it overlapped
prep/battle times or something like that. Since the reintroduction of HA, the times have
been modified. I could be wrong but this is what I believe was the case.

I'd rather not get into "changing " bb6's

how bout we just realize they' are harder to kill, and give everyone has one and have
sufficient time to deal with them.

Take Hamburg

For everything to work properly

5 tiles

3 min to start 4 tiles 5 min to start 1 tile

17 min

that leaves 97 min to battle 5 rooms filled with bb6 and subs that can hide for far longer
if needed.

That is less than 20 minutes per room. with 26 bb6, that is you have to kill more than 1
per minute.

The times just don't work... I'm less concerned with AW kaisers ..i mean really are you
serious.

Let's try it this way.

The Nebraska, Amagi, and Kaiser should not armor whore.

And your right majority of Jedi does have Lion2's, we held London for so long everyone got
a QV so they could use it as a starter BB6. Then again most of us have a 2nd BB6, and even
then some of us have 5.

The bb6's are meant to be the next tier, but they need to be brought into line.

They're turning force needs to be brought back to 19 not 22-24, the ability for ships to
armor needs to be reduced, the dp needs to be brought down by 3k per ship, and the damage
of the guns need to be adjusted to do slightly more damage against this tier (submergence
change).

Changing maximum displacement has a large effect on the base speed of a ship, when I
nerfed the AWing ability of the SN BB6 (Project 24) by 15k, the base speed went down
by 2 or 3 knots.

Changing the armor weight is the best solution to get rid of AWed ships that should not
be AWed.

Or they can just hope that the occupant doesn't show up to defend. That works too.

OK, then I guess we can move on from that now >.<

I was just responding in kind but I guess we got a bit mixed up there >.<

I just wish we would be allowed to get rid of AWed BB6s, I would give anything for them to
let us fix it. It would take like 2 minutes to change the Armour weights to like
10billion tonnes for an inch...

Just remove prep all together, if you need "preparation" time then just show up an
hour before HA. There doesnt need to be a time set aside for it except maybe 10
minutes, to keep people from opening mission rooms.

@ nyer on page 2:

Its HA. Its a game of numbers. If small fleets want a competition, they can do FL.
The point of HA is for 2 fleets to throw everything they have at each other, its just
not a game for small fleets. One or 2 manage because their players are extremely
good at the game, but other than that its just not for them.
