I have a couple of issues that I think warrant discussion.


1, 1 hour 50 minutes .... This was reduced from the original 2 hours because some fleets
whined when 2 hours official prep wasn't enough. so SDE changed the time allowing an
additional 10 minutes for prep.

I believe that this was a mistake from the beginning but no one asked me. If 2 hours prep
isn't enough then tough crappola. Give the original 2 hour attack back and lets play.


2, How have the bb6 and cv6 affected HA ?

Originally bb5 and cv5 made HA, in my opinion, fun, more opportunities for individual
accomplishments to affect the outcome of battles.. Now every one and their dog has
multiple bb6's.

BB/CV6 toughness make it almost impossible to kill quickly, Making for long battles which
may be enjoyable but are effectively useless in the strategic sense.

What can be done ? Well increasing time limit would be one thing, Limiting numbers
another. Who knows, but i think it's worth a discussion.

"No point in massing with the BB6's DP or attack since its the advantage of those ships...
if you change it you basically turn it to a bb5 and thats pointless... bb6's were made to
extend the life of this game, to give meaning to playing it more than it was up to the
momnet they were launched...

if your fleet is not strong enough to conquer an HA then you might need to check whats
wrong with it... if you are trying to take an HA with a bb5 composit, then you got no
chance.. today you have to fight with bb6's and thats how it is, they are balanced and
there is absolutly no reason to touch them at all

do your math and you will win, do it wrong and you loose

Simple :D "

This is the problem with open discussions. Ah well.

If you give too much time for battle it also creates a problem.
It turns HA into a battle of numbers and small fleets have even less chances than now.
Smaller fleets have less ships to play with and need the time, specially if they want to
defend a harbor.

Not many fleets have enough ships to last a longer HA.

That would work rehor.

Anyway, in theory they should be able to change the ratio for prep/battle fairly easy....
They've done it before.

So it could be any combination of the 2 hour 10 min prep and 1hour 50 min battle.

I'd be fine with 1 hour prep and 2-3 hours for battle... I think the prep time is useless,
I mean your fleet declares on Mon/tues and the 4-5 days isn't enough to get ready ... really.

Limiting time is fine but limiting numbers and smoke usage is just crap. HA for most
fleets is their chance to pull out the big guns and flex their muscles. If you can't
compete against numbers or smoke, then its nobody elses fault is it?

120 minutes of actual battle time available.

30-60 minutes of official "prep" is sufficient.

Yeah, this too. However you do it, there 100% needs to be a limit to smoke.

Alliance system would be nice and would add a dimension not currently available... "the

But i'm sure it would be to " hard " to code.

What about the other harbors ? Why are french and soviet offlimits ? cause its easier ?

Not being funny but if I could be bothered and people didn't keep going AFK etc. I could
organise either a HA attack OR defence in 10 minutes (hell, if I had a list of people
turning up and accounts available I could do it in 5). What on earth do people do for 2
hours? It is a meaningless number for a meaningless function.

As for BB6s, they have made it VASTLY more difficult to attack a harbour. Defending has
been made so much easier because of the time taken to destroy 25-30 BB6s. At a push rooms
take 20 minutes and that is a struggle. The DP of the BB6s is simply too high along with
the Firepower. In truth, I would like to see DP taken down by 5k DP and their damage
reduced by a similar amount to their DP (percentage wise).

Limiting numbers is unacceptable. I would like to see 2 hour attacks and the alliance
system implemented.
