I have a couple of issues that I think warrant discussion.


1, 1 hour 50 minutes .... This was reduced from the original 2 hours because some fleets
whined when 2 hours official prep wasn't enough. so SDE changed the time allowing an
additional 10 minutes for prep.

I believe that this was a mistake from the beginning but no one asked me. If 2 hours prep
isn't enough then tough crappola. Give the original 2 hour attack back and lets play.


2, How have the bb6 and cv6 affected HA ?

Originally bb5 and cv5 made HA, in my opinion, fun, more opportunities for individual
accomplishments to affect the outcome of battles.. Now every one and their dog has
multiple bb6's.

BB/CV6 toughness make it almost impossible to kill quickly, Making for long battles which
may be enjoyable but are effectively useless in the strategic sense.

What can be done ? Well increasing time limit would be one thing, Limiting numbers
another. Who knows, but i think it's worth a discussion.

I'm not advocating reducing or limiting numbers it's just an option, any others would be
appreciated.

The time limit is a popular and i'm guessing a fairly easy change to code. What type of
time difference would people like more. The original 2 hrs only or increase to 2 1/2 hours
or even more or the other way less time ?

Thats what discussions are for.

I agree with the 2 hour limit. However, restricting BB/CV6 usage I disagree with.

While it is true more bb5 would be available... the ability to destroy them is much easier
than killing bb6's.. making the rushes or feints more effective.

its a thought though.

I think most people would agree that moving it back to 2 hours would be sensible. BB6s
have made it easier to attack imo.

I find BB4 and BB6 gameplay much more enjoyable than BB5 really, BB5s rooms do turn into
campfests, during HA this would get pretty bad since the defending fleet would have
practically unlimited BB5s to use.

I would like to see the time increased.

However, I really don't know if I've found a solution for BB6/HA that I like or agree
with so far.

Obviously, with the way the ships are now, it is darn near impossible for any
reasonable force to go up against another reasonable force and take the harbor. I
mean, it requires you to pretty much steam roll all the way to the harbor. One or, at
most, two lost tiles and you can forget about taking the harbor.

That being said, I am steadfastly against limiting ships or some other user limit. HA is
everyone brings their biggest and best and you go to town for two hours.

I leveled so that I can use all my BB6s in HA. And, I'll be quite pissed if there is some
sort of limit imposed.

I'm not really sure what the solution could be. I mean, it's just plain hard to kill 30
BB6s once, but you have to do it multiple times. I would like to see BB6 damage
slightly increased so they can put a bigger hurt on each other, but that's a personal
preference for the gameplay, not an HA balancing issue. I would say the same thing
about subs, but one flame war is enough for today.
