Noticed that there are some photography enthusiasts among us, so I decided to
create this thread where we can all share the shots we took, and admire the beauty
of things that surround us.

Feel free to post your favourite images of anything (within forum rules). It doesn't
have to be a masterpiece either - cellphone, compact camera or DSLR pics are fine.

If possible, do provide a brief description, so others may discover a thing or two
about a certain place, object, person, etc.

Hopefully we'll have enough contributors to keep it going.
Let the visual feast begin !

My favourite lightning shots :

Nikon D5000 with 18-55mm lens
30 secs @ f22, ISO200

Nikon D7000 with 16-85mm lens
20 secs @ f16, ISO200

Had to stand in the rain for these, but the final image is well worth the effort.

Good luck, Emma ;) It's hard to spot with the naked eye - you'll most likely see it as a
faint pale streak across the sky that slowly moves.

Something else from the land of the Turks - Rumeli Hisarı, or "Roman"/European
Fortress, in Istanbul:

I look at this image and i see a deary shore, sad one, i was listening to Tool when i was
editing this photo. Their song Caesaro Summability came on, it had a baby screaming in it
then it faded to echoed screaming and it made me think of a kid that drowned in
peterborough (major city down the road from me) last summer, as it saddened me it gave the
photo meaning in my eyes.

Emma: If you ever fly between northern Europe and Canada, get a window seat on the
north side of the aircraft:
