Noticed that there are some photography enthusiasts among us, so I decided to
create this thread where we can all share the shots we took, and admire the beauty
of things that surround us.

Feel free to post your favourite images of anything (within forum rules). It doesn't
have to be a masterpiece either - cellphone, compact camera or DSLR pics are fine.

If possible, do provide a brief description, so others may discover a thing or two
about a certain place, object, person, etc.

Hopefully we'll have enough contributors to keep it going.
Let the visual feast begin !

Canada is definitely a country I plan to visit someday. Have always been impressed
with the vast expanse of untouched nature.

Nearby Alaska too. Have to see the Aurora at least once before I die. Lol.
Oh well, maybe in a few years time.

@cyddy
Any idea what's the name of that butterfly species?
Have taken some pics of them before too, but don't know what's it called.

@falcon
Lovely place that is. Wished I live somewhere like that, lol.

@timmy
That's a great perspective, especially the pillars that seem to defy gravity and jut
out from the side.

Haha, yep! Built by the Germans in 1931; some 408ft long. Quite a striking vessel.

Here's something else I shot while I was in Turkey: the famous ~1600 year-old Haghia
Sophia (Saint Sophia) church-turned-mosque-turned-museum. A vertical panorama
stitched together using one of those free programs:
