I've been reading through, sounds like Colorado is my next ship. I prefer range and lots of armor. Ideal setup? thanks for your input

Triple 14" L guns or 16" minimonty setup but 16" doesnt have that much range.
Dont AW, speed is more important.

I'm prefer with dual 16" Mark 2L, Colorado quite slow and if you want some armor, you will get more slower and you will be easy target

If you haven't played the ship, please don't give advice about it's setup.

The Colorado does NOT use 14" guns. To do so is a real waste. You use the dual 16" mk2 L guns with 4 binds of ammo.

When your gunners are level 81, you can choose the triple 16" mk3 D guns with 2 binds of ammo. These have BB1 class range (a bit less than your trusty 16" mk2 L guns), but 50% more firepower. They are best used in Night Battle games and by players who are adept at playing a "wait then rush" style.

You can't have range and armour.

Because, the match of these 2, are overpowered.

Why would you want triple 14's? He asked for the best set up not the worst

wow. please dont ruin the ship by running the setup rick5000 was talking about. (unless you are looking for fun setups)

dual 16 Ls are the way to go, like stormvanger said.

and please note that you are not in blitz anymore. light ammo is the only way to go....for all BBs.

as for armor, its the same as almost all the US BBs: 0 deck , 0.2-0.4 belt, and as much bulge as you can until you drop in speed. (although personally i like to add in 1-2 bulkhead)

why light ammo? I dont see a range difference between that and heavy, or am I blind?
