The EXP System we currently play under is truthfully "broken". These are some ideas and suggestions to change it for hopefully better gameplay and more options.

The basis of this is a completely overhaul of the current EXP system. This is not complete and requires help from everyone to get it where this suggestion needs to be.

Mostly getting game type EXPs simular to have diversity of game modes. Also fix key issues with CV and SS EXP.

(Please NO Sub rants, this is not the place, changing SS EXP is currently required to fix CV Torp and Kita Torp EXP)

Data and other info is in the following post to keep the other pages of the thread clean.

NOTE THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE SUGGESTION AND PLEASE DO NOT RECOMMEND TIL IT IS. Comments, thoughts and suggestions to improve this idea are gracously welcomed..

PROPOSED CHANGES:
The goal of this is to change the exp system to make more game modes, viable options as well as fix key EXP issues in GBIs and GBIIs.

NOTE all changes listed are not final for this plan and is awaiting feedback and ideas for changes to this planned suggestion.

General EXP changes:
Change of Torp exp to earned
Reduction of Shared EXP and Increase of Personal EXP
Introduction of Plane Credit EXP
Variables for all EXP Formulas: N = shared exp, X = personal attack, T = total exp,
Personal attack formula: X = attack/1000
Shared EXP formula: N = ((team attack + all team players plane credits/300000)1000)
Attack formula: attack = (damage to enemy ships + ((Plane Credits)(9))
10k plane credits would equal 90k attack worth of EXP*
EXP Formula PER LEVEL (Higher Level = more EXP earned if)
Level (L) multiplier: 120: L = %100, 90: L = 90%, 60: L = 80%, 30: 75%
(Start @ 120 and drop 10% per 30 levels, below 60 drop by 5 % per 30 levels)
*EXP base Formula T = ( ( ( ( 10 ) ( 1.009 ^ X ) ) 1000 ) + N ) L )
EXP Penalty for sailors being certain distance from ship level applied to EXP
Room EXP % added after exp
NOTE: I haven ‘t included a final Decimal value to lower the EXP to a decent level since I don’t have time to calculate that decimal yet. It would be somewhere between 0.6 and 0.8 to lower the EXP earn to closer to current BB levels.
* BO now receives 100% EXP, Gunners 100%, Supports 105%, Pilots 105%

ADDED: Tier Based Points system to determine room base EXP multiplier:
CV6/BB6/SS6: 6, Obviously continuing down to BB1/CV1, SS2 are worth 1 point, SS1s are worth 0.8
PBB=2.5
PCV=5.5
EBBs rated tier (3-1 points)
CA3= 0.8, CA2 =0.7 CA1 = 0.6
APA = 0.6
Kita = 0.55
CLs = 0.5
DDs = 0.4
FFs = 0.1-4 based on tier (FF1s = 0.1, FF2s = 0.2, FFX = 0.3, FFY = 0.4) Turtle Ship = 0.5

72 points = max EXP % for the room (120% in All but GBII, 125% in GBIIs)
Lowest Percent starts @ 0 points and raises linearly to max exp multiplier

Basic Ship Changes

Subs
1. Change from shared to new exp formula
CVs
1. Changed from shared torp and fighter attack to new exp formula.
2. DB changed to new formula
Torp Ships (Kita mostly)
1. Return from shared exp to earned exp.


Increase of Earned EXP to lower level tiers and less shared EXP for all tiers and clases

General Game Mode EXP % changes.
Battle Areas:
1. Battle area 7 and 12 set to 150% exp instead of 151%
Great Battle I
1. Great Battles return to old EXP % based off points based on tier of the ships in room Ranging from 100%-120% (Slightly more exp than GBII due to number of larger ships)*
Great Battle II
1. Great Battle II set to EXP % based off on tier of the ships in room Ranging from 100%-125% (Slightly less exp than GBI due to lower number of larger ships)*
BB/CA Select Mode Room
1. Base 125% exp, if any sailor on ship is over level 80, they receive 100% instead.
CV Select Mode Room
1. If at 8 CVs: 80%, if 10 CVs 90%, if 16 CVs 100% if 20 CVs 110% (Lower percents
Blitzkrieg
1. FF/DD: 80% (To help with gaining credits/points)
2. CL/CA: 100%
3. BB/CV 110%
Night Battle
1. GBI EXP with original GB ship numbers (14/6 with min 16 start) Less than GBI exp if full but more than GBII if full.
Op Convoy
1. Broken EXP/ Win/loss System. Needs complete rewrite with EXP determined after fixing. EXP would be based off # of rounds and time to make it close to balance with blitz with EXP/time.

This is a log to all changes made,

Edit Log * (Denoted by Asterisk):
1.) Changed CV formula from attack = ((damage to enemy ships) + ((plane credits)(3))) to (damage to enemy ships + (Plane Credits)(9) to get 10k plane credits = 90k exp, still subject to change.
2.) Changed battle exp multiplier from Tonnage based to a tier point based system.
3.) Wrong EXP Formula ( t = (((((1.0775^x)1000)+n)/3.5)L) ) Posted, Changed to: T = ( ( ( ( 10 ) ( 1.009 ^ X ) ) 1000 ) + N ) L )

Some help would do wonders... "No" doesn't help anything. I wrote this @ 2 AM this morning so it will needs work. I even posted that it did..... 15k = 100k attack exp closer? I've seen plenty of 20k+ games so.... Maybe 10k = 100k attack exp?

I know its not close to being a fix yet. But posting more than No can help getting it closer to where it needs to be.

10K shotdown is approximately 50-60 bombers or about 30-40 fighters.
This equates to several waves.
A BB can make 30k in a single salvo.

To think of it another way, a PCV can make 35-40k off of one bombing run versus 3-4k off of a single fighter run (in my experience)

EXP should never be based off tonnage because of how variable ships are of the same class.

Amagi weighs almost twice as much as a qv.

Night Battles for example use the old tonnage based method to calculate EXP % 100-120%. When a certain tonnage is reached it caps @ 120% exp gain. Its been used for years and only recently removed from GBs when GBII was brought back. But it is true that BB6s weren't originally counted for in there since the BB5s are not that far apart. I don't mean the old GBII Balancing off of Tonnage system that was a total fail. If you remember from the other day in Night Battles as you get more ships the EXP % in the top left (Heavier ships increase it faster) Its a multiplier for the room to increase the exp.

I'll have to make another CV attack formula then based off the upper info you've provided. I was basing it off my normal 100-250k attack in BB and my normal 50k-200k attack in my bomber whore CV and my normal 8-20k plane credits when I use fighters, some more people posting their average CV plane credits and attack would be appreciated since it appears that I'll need to see an average to come up with a new CV formula.
