The EXP System we currently play under is truthfully "broken". These are some ideas and suggestions to change it for hopefully better gameplay and more options.

The basis of this is a completely overhaul of the current EXP system. This is not complete and requires help from everyone to get it where this suggestion needs to be.

Mostly getting game type EXPs simular to have diversity of game modes. Also fix key issues with CV and SS EXP.

(Please NO Sub rants, this is not the place, changing SS EXP is currently required to fix CV Torp and Kita Torp EXP)

Data and other info is in the following post to keep the other pages of the thread clean.

NOTE THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE SUGGESTION AND PLEASE DO NOT RECOMMEND TIL IT IS. Comments, thoughts and suggestions to improve this idea are gracously welcomed..

I thought that smaller ships increased it by 1%, cvs increased it by 3% and bbs didn't increase it?

I remember it being by tonnage. Will have to convince people to play a Night Battle with me to confirm it.

ONF is overstacking work on themselves. They are already behind in what they want to do so they should let some of us spread it out for them. There are plenty of players who are concerned with this game like them. Like I said this is an idea, not yet a suggestion. Its not ready for such a think and needs help of players and others.

Key things this does that effects the communities and change the EXP formula, give FW CVs Earned EXP. And other ideas on other issues involving exp and the insane amount of shared EXP.

I also changed it from tonnage to a points based off of ship tier. Considering the massive weight difference between the 5 BB6s alone.

U all do know at high level xp is earned not shared anymore. Try a level 100 ship and do almost no damage play same ship and do great damage night and day diffrence ie shared at high levels is very small but high levels give great xp. I should say its high level ships not the crew to be exact.

Its not as small as you think.

I can get 20k without prem without firing a shot if I wanted to. 100k attack gets it to 40k... 150k gets me to 55k and 200k gets me to 59k, 200k gets mid 60k, 250k gets upper 60s...

Shared EXP is Half of your EXP @ 100k attack. Half of the BBs players nowadays aren't scoring 100k every game so that makes more than half their EXP shared. (This as on Montana) with 115-120 crew. If you count in the lvl penalties. That's somewhere around 20-22k in shared EXP for doing nothing if your team wins. That's pretty high to me.

The actual issue is fixing CV and Torp EXP, CVs are except for bomber whores, entirely shared exp. Which shouldn't be the case. Also the hope is to get the average EXP per hour in GBIs only ahead of GBIIs by the amount of ships in the room. Another though would be changing maybe points earned in blitz to help new players be able to class their crews. (You can't class an entire BB crew worth of sailors until lvl 30 at the current points earned)

Problem is when your upping the exp gain more, more people are going to be on a high lvl ship not knowing how to drive them. NF is filled with noobs as it is... last thing it needs is more exp. Id say LOWER the exp gain and get back some skilled players to make the game more fun.

How about you go make a button program and for every 100 times you press it you level up. Except that when you get to level 2 you need to press it 1000 times and so on.

Your goal is to get to level 120.

That's what NF is.

I don't know if you're stupid or something but the reason NF is so dead right now is because the grind is so damn long.

This reduces shared EXP... If you don't score well, you'll grind slower. If your playing correctly and scoring higher attack. You'll grind faster. Giving people who need more time in each ship, more time, and those ready for the next step moved on faster. Its a win, win for both as long as they are patient, it'll still be enough exp to be getting double what I was getting for 100k attack in 2007 than now. If you do some of the math formula's I've provided and realize only 3 or 4 people per room normally score over 100k attack, you'd notice most BBs will score less EXP, Winning CVs will see little change if they average 8k+ credits a battle or 60k attack, higher will see a nice increase for their help to the team weather it be via Killing planes or bombing (If we had a method to score exp for scouting I'd include that into the formula as well. CVs will also see an actual worthy difference if they aren't helping the team and lose, pushing them to either pick better targets to bomb, avoid flying bombers into fighters or not killing planes or providing sight. Subs will earn their EXP following the level formula thus scoring near the same EXP per attack at the same level of a BB or CV. Kita's will actually earn EXP again and thus bringing them back into the game.

Also all ships will be weighed the same in this system. Thus killing that AA ship killing your CV's planes will give the same EXP per attack as if you hit a BB6 for the same amount of attack. This allows lower level players to score simular exp if they were targeting larger ships or if they're stuck picking off the DDs in the middle. (Though I'm wondering how much leaching that part might cause)


As I've said before, this is an open Idea, more suggestions to change it for the better are welcomed. I can also explain any questions that you all may have as this continues.

I don't know where you've been but it took the first person to hit 120, 3 1/2 years. It now takes a month playing a maximum of 3 hours a day for 30 days. If you think your grind is long now, think again.
