I read the post about the changes to be implemented with the 1.330 patch next weekend.

In theory NF SDE has designed certain criteria of balance between the different nations inthe game, but in practice players have found ways to circumvent these criteria.

For example. KM ships have certain characteristics such as range and speed better than others but their protection is weaker and less damage per shell. In addition, RN ships areslower but much greater protection and shell damage.

In practice I have seen many RN ships that instead of having all three turrets has only two, thus increasing the speed while maintaining the protection and much of its firepower.

Similarly many of the AA BB have not installed to achieve more speed.

The change proposed by SDE is a step to solve this, but I think it is the solution.

There is the concept of SDE that lead BB 1 BO, 2 Gunners, 2 AA gunners and crew sdesupport?.

To achieve the balance that SDE is seeking to impose at least a 11 "gun is not enough.

My suggestion is to put a penalty in each turret Soft Defense (main or AA) that is notinstalled on the boat.

One possible solution would be, for example:

If a BB has 3 main turrets and the player wants to use only two to achieve more speed that is allowed, but the Defense Soft maximum is reduced by 33% to simulate the missingturret.

In the same way for each AA turret has not mounted an additional 2% penamizalción themaximum SD.

Using an example a Lion 2 (3 R slots slots + 8 T) has only two main turrets have:

SD Max: 900

A slot Penalty: 33%

Penalty for T slot: 2% x8 = 16%

Total: 49%

Resulting SD: 441

I hope I have explained the point.

first off Rn is not slower then others it is ONLY slower when armored

2nd .... the 11 " + to enter a gameroom in a game is NOT due to the 2gun armored/speed settups but insted so u wont have to many leachers with no guns on a capital ships and with a punishment on every R-T slot alot of people would then have to level up new crew's so nope

but one of the selling points of NF is being able to customize your ships, not forcing people to play a certain way.

I agree with the intent of DSS to allow players to customize their ships. I used turret smallest of the ship frame can really support, but always customize the ship for a specific use, such as counter-destroyers and air defense.

Point is that allowing the use of incomplete vessel (without some Turrets for example) causes the loss of the object he had NF: A naval simulation game online in real time and converted into another real-time naval arcade game.

This is another selling point of the NF: A naval simulation game.

Barrel, your view seems valid too, but I think that SDE could achieve some mechanism to make the simulation more realistic, because we could also include topics such as:

Long firing spread (not realistic)
Efficiency of flak (not realistic, shot-down too many planes with a few shots)

L suggestion is to gradually and patch after patch to achieve a balanced game, realistic and devertido.

It is not easy, I agree with that too.

wrong. NF has nothing to do with real life. The point of a simulation game is to see the what-if, not re-enact real life. Otherwise, I could just rent a discovery channel DVD.

Nope, youre wrong. By forcing people to use a certain setup to avoid penalizations such as those you wish to impose, you are in theory forcing them to play the game a certain way or be worse than other players. If thats how they wanted it, they would make navyfield an animated movie, not a controllable game.

Where's LJ when you need him? Hes always good at nuking these kinds of things..

Thats just ridiculous.

First, I was sure that measure was already in place since a while, I jumped seeing it patched in last night.

Second, ships are BALANCED to take into account such setup. Namely, speed or armor gain is taken into account with 2 turrets, to make it worth it or not to sacrifice 33% of the firepower.

Some nation have good enough firepower to be able to still pack a punch with a part invested elsewhere. Good for them.

You always have a choice of how to set up your ship. If you are dumb about it, the community reserves the right to tell you so, take a screenshot, and have a good public laugh at your failure.
